Dear Student,
In our ever-changing world it is essential to always be up to date. Life-long learning has become essential and the fact that you hold this brochure in your hands means you already understand this. Truman Capote once correctly stated, today, the utopia of the morning is the reality of the afternoon. And that is precisely the understanding upon which our school operates. All our programmes both national and international aim to deliver the latest knowledge to all our students so that we may achieve this objective together. Thus we have carefully selected an academic body, which is not only internationally acknowledged and highly research active, but also understands the practice-oriented needs of contemporary management. We believe in purposeful theorybased knowledge by direct application to practical needs of best management practice. This has allowed us to operate successfully for many decades and has resulted in thousands of successful Graduates around the globe. We sincerely hope you will join the ranks of our successful community and that we may welcome you in one of our Schools at IPE Management School Paris. Professor Klaus Oestreicher Academic Director International Degrees
Grandes Ecoles, therefore, do not normally have high student numbers. Grandes Ecoles usually specialise in a single field, such as Business Management, Public Administration, or Engineering. Many Grandes Ecoles offering Business Management degrees are highly placed in global rankings of Business Schools.
Grandes Ecoles have traditionally graduated many if not most of the French top-ranking public officials, politicians and leaders as well as many scientists, writers and philosophers and business managers and entrepreneurs. This substantiates the high quality standards of this branch of education. The consistent practical relevance of the academic courses means graduates are highly rated by employers.
The IPE Management School Paris is an established and highly acknowledged Higher Education Institution that delivers a wide range of Management, Business and Economics Degree Programmes, both at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. More than that, however, our affiliation with our sister Schools of the Grandes Ecoles Specialises (GES) also enables us to extend our studies into the fields of IT, Games, Luxury Management, etc. IPE Management School Paris delivers its programmes not only in France but also around the globe priding itself in the high quality of its education provision and relevant curriculum. These programmes are taught in the English language and administered by our office for International Degrees in Maidstone, UK. Our innovative programmes fulfil both academic needs and industry orientation by allowing students to combine their work commitments with flexible study programmes and are supported by the latest virtual learning technology. The careful use and application of education technology and the internet further enhances our teaching-learning strategies.
Over the years a high number of national and international students have successfully studied with us. The quality of our teaching, our faculty and professional approach have resulted in the IPE Management School being recognised and certified by the French State at Level 1 (the highest recognition in France) in addition to many further international acknowledgements and recognition of an increasing number of Professional Bodies.
It is our mission to enable our graduates to take on managerial and leadership appointments in international companies, small business enterprises (SMEs), as well as a career as independent management consultant or entrepreneur running their own business enterprises. To achieve this we aim to shape the responsible and reflective manager in both the key functional areas of business management as well as in strategic management and leadership. In a nutshell, we fulfil the expectations of Grandes Ecoles by providing practice-oriented business studies of superior quality.
The mission of IPE Management School Paris is to train experts so they can occupy positions such as independent Consultants or Managers in a company or implement their entrepreneurial skills backed up by the necessary tools acquired at IPE, to set up their own businesses. The quality of its teaching methods, its faculty members and the high placement rate, contributed in the awarding of a French state-certified degrees equivalent to either a Bachelor or Masters degree. Innovative and flexible, IPE Management School allows each student to adapt his or her program of studies to his or her own professional projects. To be in pace with the evolving global economy, our teaching methods, curriculum, and finally, the pool of business cooperations, are constantly evolving alike.
Student-centred and focused on the requirement of organisations, IPE Management School Paris has teamed with its sister School Ple Paris Alternance by aligning modules and their learning outcomes. The objective is the improvement of our Graduates competitiveness on the HR market by offering advanced evidence of their capabilities and expertise to employers. Therefore students are awarded with Dual Degrees for the successful completion of their Bachelor or Masters studies:
One Degree by IPE Management School Paris One Degree by Ple Paris Alternance
This counts for all Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies, unless a Dual Award with a different University is awarded. (For details please refer to the individual Course Outlines).
Within its PRME Framework the United Nations have outlined Six Principles for targeting managerial responsibility by responding to contemporary demands for sustainable management practices. These Six PRME Principles address:
The nurturing of ethical understanding Values of social responsibility Responsible action by managers Research, which demonstrably addresses themes of social responsibility Partnership by drawing appropriate lessons from corporate contacts concerning meaning and substance of corporate responsibility Multi-stakeholder conversations on responsibility and sustainability
The IPE Management School Paris has internalised these Six Principles and respects them in its entire curriculum. As a result IPE Management School Paris has become a member of the UNs PRME Framework. IPE Management School Paris is fully committed to excellence and outstanding teaching and learning experience of its students.
For IPE Management School Paris research has become an integrated part of activities. In-depth understanding of organisations, economic and managerial interconnectedness, and driving forces of developments is essential, when the teaching objectives are committed to educate highly skilled students for future markets. Therefore research is essential and the faculty of IPE Management School Paris is actively engaged in research. The output is published in books, academic and professional journals or is part of the proceedings of academic conferences around the world.
In its effort to provide research excellence in combination with a Grande Ecoles commitment to practice orientation, IPE Management School Paris has teamed with UKs International Professional Managers Association and launches its own academic journal. This journal does not only publish research papers of faculty, which support students studies it is open for students work, too. The journal provides access for distinguished dissertations and other student work.
Academic Conferences
Beyond research activities IPE Management School Paris increasingly engages in sponsoring and organising academic conferences. This commitment is part of the activities with regard to the Schools PRME membership with the United Nations, but also an endeavour to exchange latest knowledge with acknowledged members of the global academic community.
Students profit from these activities, since they are a point of discussion and collection of research on future management and economic trends. This knowledge presented by peerreviewed research papers assures that students are introduced to state of the art knowledge. Knowledge which makes Graduates outstanding and attractive for companies, administration and consultancy. This way IPE Management School Paris focus on conferences also is meaningful for the nature of Grandes Ecoles orientation: Theory-led teaching for improved practical application at organisational level.
Academic studies are demanding and challenging. Nevertheless they are an investment in the professional future. To celebrate the end of their studies, students are invited to join their peers for the Graduation Ceremony. The Graduation Ceremony takes place at a festive venue in Paris or at their national centre of studies. Frequently students are accompanied by their family or friends celebrating a rewarding moment to remember for life.
But even after Graduation IPE Management School Paris furthers the collaboration of its students. Alumni networks are a valuable source of relationships, networking and mutually beneficial for career progression. Alumni adopt also roles as mentors and coaches of students. They actively support studies by their own experiences and knowledge gained. This is one expression of reflective responsibility being important to IPE Management School Paris.

Ple Paris Alternance awards a second Degree to successful students in addition to their IPE-Degree
IPE Management School Paris offers sound and contemporary studies in the area of Bachelor degrees. Two different Degrees are at the forefront:
The Bachelor in International Business, an Undergraduate Degree which fully concentrates on the manifold interactions and relationships of the contemporary business environment. This Degree does not only respect business-related knowledge, it introduces students to the essential cultural factors, which frequently are the real drivers for sustainable relationships and successful organisational outcomes. But the IPE Management School Paris does not stop at these particular examples. French-Dutch Dual Awards already are in place and very soon French-British Dual Awards will be a part of student achievements, too, and preparations have even started for further Dual Awards. Students are studying at one place but with the curriculum of two partnering Universities. At the end of their studies they will be awarded Bachelor Degrees from both Universities. This is an impressive achievement, which impresses employers. Preparations have started for a Triple French-British-Dutch Bachelor of Science in Advanced Management. This Bachelor Degree addresses school and college leavers with superior results. A selective application process will assure the high quality standards of both the students and the curriculum. These very particular studies will start in autumn 2013.
Country-specific Bachelor Studies The excellence of IPE Management School Paris is internationally recognised. For this reason it is proud of being the academic partner of country-specific Degrees. The following two examples are evidence of IPE Management School Paris strong international network for the benefit of students. Together with a consortium of high-ranking German institutions, IPE Management School Paris has developed a profession-oriented education combining an apprenticeship in mechatronics with academic studies in business economics, the Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and Mechatronics. In this most contemporary and employment-oriented combination the IPE Management School Paris will award the Bachelor Degree, while the German Industrie und Handelskammer (Chamber of Commerce) in Cologne will award the Apprenticeship Document. This forms an education, which offers Graduates superior career opportunities and is a most contemporary style of dual studies, which employers welcome. Furthermore, in collaboration with our accredited partner in the Netherlands, Stichting Euregio University College, both Universities provide Top-up Bachelor Studies for Professionals, who can achieve a Bachelor of Science (for engineering professions) or Business Administration (for other professional backgrounds) in just one year. These Degrees address professionals, who do not have managerial experiences or the necessary entry requirements for postgraduate studies, but want to improve their careers. Successful Graduates may then go on to study for their Masters Degree. Herewith IPE Management School Paris provides an additional evidence for an internationally flexible approach, which puts students and their employment opportunities in the centre of efforts.
Postgraduate studies are an essential part of Higher Education provided by the IPE Management School Paris. Innovation also plays a substantial role by offering a wide range of specialised Degrees in addition to the general MBA studies. Again, both our international collaborations with superior foreign Universities as well as Professional Bodies add significant value to our students. Two examples are Dual Awards, which extend the academic Masters Degree by an official documentation of professional orientation and membership with Professional Bodies. The second example are various Dual Awards in which students will study one course, but will be awarded a Masters Degree by two collaborating Universities. Three examples provide evidence of this extraordinary excellence: In collaboration with the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM), UK, we have designed a specific Masters Degree, MBM in Retail Sales Management, which addresses as a first time Degree the specific needs of the retailing industry in the field of advanced sales. This Degree can be upgraded to an MBA significantly saving on time because the prior MBM studies will find wide acknowledgement. Students of these Degrees are members of the ISMM at the time of studies and are invited to join specific events by the ISMM. Moreover, students are awarded with the designatory letters of a Member and after Graduation Fellow with the ISMM. This immediately states their professional expertise to employers. Due to globalisation international trade has become a must for many firms. In collaboration with the International Trade and Law Institute (ITLI) of South Koreas flagship University of Pusan. The MSc in International Trade and Law is a Degree, which offers a sound combination of knowledge in both fields and addresses the export-oriented industries.
Most other Degrees increasingly receive acknowledgement by further Professional Bodies, like the globally organised International Professional Managers Association (IPMA). The professional orientation of Grandes Ecoles providing students with superior career opportunities is completely embedded in all IPE Management School Paris Degrees. IPE Management School Paris students globally profit from the expertise of our sister Schools in the Rseau des Grandes Ecoles Spcialises. IPE Management School Paris organises and offers subject areas beyond business and management studies, e.g., IT together with our specialised twinned school ESGI: The MSc & BA in Multimedia Design with approval from the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education are the first two French degrees to be launched in Malaysia in collaboration with Mantissa College. With industry focused curricula, students will be well prepared to contribute substantially as Designers cum Managers in the innovation industry.

The curriculum is focused on contemporary issues and enriched by actual research in a wide variety of fields also including cross-disciplinary research. This shapes cutting-edge content and assures students will be on top of the latest knowledge. Furthermore, the curriculum is fully aligned with the PRME Framework of the United Nations for educating managers thinking beyond terms of profitability and organisational purposes. The intention of the IPE Management School Paris is the education and formation of the reflective and ethical manager, who respects organisational impacts on society and environment. This meets actual and growing future expectations as the ongoing and controversial public debate evidences.
