Before use
Our moulds can be used and re-used many times. They can be washed with household detergent like any other kitchen equipment. As with all new kitchen equipment, we recommend that our moulds are washed prior to first use.
Note that some moulds with deep, narrow cavities (such as the baby shoe moulds) or with undercuts (such as the sleeping baby moulds) can require significant care to both fully fill the mould and to remove the model successfully. In order to release the impression without distortion, the filled mould can be frozen for 20-30 minutes to harden the paste first. If this method is used leave the resulting impression on a flat surface dusted with cornflour to dry since the cold surface of the paste will attract moisture. When dry the impressions can be coloured with either edible dusts or paste colours diluted with alcohol.

We design and manufacture all of our products and assert our moral and intellectual rights over the original artworks embodied in them. We allow the use of the products by hobbyists and small scale artisanal enterprises. We do not confer any rights in the sale of our products either to use the product or the design in large scale commercial exploitation. We do not confer any rights in the sale of our products for third parties to reproduce the item by any form of copying for sale either as a mould or for any other purpose. We provide an indication of the product size in the images in this catalogue. The background grid shows squares 1cm x 1cm (approximately 0.4in x 0.4in). Please note that whilst every care is taken to ensure the accuracy of scale in these images, all dimensions should be considered approximate, and for guidance only. Please note that our intended purpose for these moulds is for the forming of sugarpaste cake decorations. We provide instructions for our intended use with every purchase, as well as on page 3 of this catalogue. All of our products are manufactured from soft, flexible silicone, suited for moulding sugarpaste decorations. Other foodstuffs and other modelling materials may be employed in these moulds, however we do not have direct experience of the use of the wide variety of materials that may be used. The material can withstand relatively high temperatures for short periods (up to 250C/480F). The material used possesses inherently good release properties, making demoulding essentially trouble free. Note that moulds are shown with examples of finished, painted impressions that can be made using them. The coloured impressions are for illustration purposes only and are not included in the offer for sale. Please note that all mould and impression dimensions shown in this catalogue are approximate, and for guidance only. All prices, including postage and packaging are correct as of November 2013, but may be subject to change without notice. All images, designs, text and original artworks are FPC Sugarcraft Ltd 2013.
