Meem 4403 Computer-Aided Design Methods Bezier Curve and Surface Evaluation Practice - FALL 2005

The document contains 6 problems involving Bezier curves and surfaces. Each problem involves drawing control polygons, convex hulls, or surface meshes. It also involves calculating Bernstein polynomial values and using them to find curve or surface points at given parameter values. The problems demonstrate techniques for evaluating Bezier curves and surfaces.

1. For the cubic Bezier curve P(u) [0 u 1] with the control

points shown,
draw the control polygon,
draw the convex hull,
draw a rough sketch of the curve,
calculate the values of the Bernstein polynomials (Bi,n) for u
= 0.2, and
use the Bernstein polynomials to calculate the position of the
curve point P (0.2).
