Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar ( i/stn tndulkr/; born 24 April 1973) is a former Indian cricketer widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of the modern generation and by many as the greatest cricketer of all time.[6][7][8][9][10][11] He took up cricket at the age of eleven, made his Test debut against Pakistan at the age of sixteen, and went on to represent Mumbai domestically and India internationally for close to twenty-four years. He is the only player to have scored one hundred international centuries, the first batsman to score a double century in a One Day International, and the only player to complete more than 30,000 runs in international cricket.[12] In October 2013, he became the 16th player and first Indian to aggregate 50,000 runs in all recognized cricket (first-class, List A and Twenty20 combined).[13][14][15]
In 2002, Wisden Cricketers' Almanack ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, behind Don Bradman, and the second greatest ODI batsman of all time, behind Viv Richards.[16] Later in his career, Tendulkar was a part of the Indian team that won the 2011 World Cup, his first win in six World Cup appearances for India.[17] He had previously been named "Player of the Tournament" at the 2003 edition of the tournament, held in South Africa. In 2013, he was the only Indian cricketer included in an all-time Test World XI named to mark the 150th anniversary of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack.[18][19][20][21] Tendulkar received the Arjuna Award in 1994 for outstanding sporting achievement, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award in 1997, India's highest sporting honour, and the Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan awards in 1999 and 2008, respectively, India's fourth and second highest civilian awards and within a few hours of ending of his final match on 16 November 2013, the Prime Minister's Office announced the decision to award Tendulkar with the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, making him the youngest recipient to date and the first ever sportsperson to receive the award.[22][23] He also won the 2010 Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for cricketer of the year at the ICC awards.[24] In 2012, Tendulkar was nominated to Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India.[25] He was also the first sportsperson (and the first without an aviation background) to be awarded the honorary rank of Group Captain by the Indian Air Force. In 2012, he was named an Honorary Member of the Order of Australia.[26] In December 2012, Tendulkar announced his retirement from ODIs.[27] He retired from Twenty20 cricket in October 2013,[28] and subsequently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket,[29] retiring on 16 November 2013 after playing his 200th and final Test match, against the West Indies in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.[30][31] Tendulkar played 664 international cricket matches in total, scoring 34,357 runs

He is the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance for the upcoming 2014 Indian general elections. Modi was a key strategist for the BJP in the successful 1995 and 1998 Gujarat state election campaigns, as well as a major campaign figure in the 2009 general elections won by the Indian National Congress.[1] He first became chief minister of Gujarat in October 2001, being promoted to the office upon the resignation of his predecessor, Keshubhai Patel, following the defeat of BJP in by-elections. In July 2007, he became the longest-serving Chief Minister in Gujarat's history when he had been in power for 2,063 days continuously. He is currently into his fourth consecutive term as Chief Minister. Modi is a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and is described as a Hindu nationalist by media, scholars and himself.[2][3][4][5] He is a controversial figure both within India and internationally.[6][7][8][9] His administration has been severely criticised for the incidents surrounding the 2002 Gujarat violence.[9][10] He has been praised for his economic policies which are credited with creating the environment for the high rate of economic growth in Gujarat:[11] however, his administration has also been criticized for failing to make a significant positive impact upon the human development of the state

Kapil Sharma (born 2 April 1981) is an Indian stand-up comedian, actor and television host.[1][2] He was the winner of the stand-up comedy reality series, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (Season 3) on STAR One, where he received huge acclaim for his stand-up comedy characters, Lala Roshan Lal and Shamsher Singh (the Punjab Police cop).[3][4] In 2010, he won the Comedy Circus's 2010 version, Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars and Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo. In 2011, he won Jubilee Comedy Circus in a tie with Krishna Abhishek - Rajiv Nigam, Comedy Circus Ke Taansen and Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur. In 2012, he won Kahani Comedy Circus Ki in a tie with Krishna Abhishek - Sudesh Lehri on Sony Entertainment Television, partnering with Parvati Singhal, Shikha Singh, Ali Asgar, Shweta Tiwari, Sumona Chakravarti and others.

Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan (IPA: [mtab bttn]; born 11 October 1942) is an Indian film actor. Lata Mangeshkar
Lata Mangeshkar pronunciation (helpinfo) (born 28 September 1929) is an Indian singer, and occasional music-composer. She is one of the best-known and most respected playback singers in India.[1][2] Mangeshkar's career started in 1942 and has spanned over seven decades. She has recorded songs for over a thousand Hindi films and has sung songs in over thirty-six regional Indian languages and foreign languages, though primarily in Marathi and Hindi. She is the elder sister of singers Asha Bhosle, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Mangeshkar. She is the second vocalist to have ever been awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.[3] Mangeshkar was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records from 1974 to 1991 for having made the most recordings in the world. The claim was that she had recorded approximately 25,000 solo, duet, and chorus-backed songs in 20 Indian languages between 1948 to 1974. The category was removed in 1991 and re-introduced in 2011.[4][5] In 2011 Guinness officially acknowledged Mangeshkar's sister Asha Bhosle as the most recorded artist in music history
Madhavrao Scindia
Madhavrao Jivajirao Scindia (10 March 1945 30 September 2001) was an Indian politician and minister from the Congress Party. Earlier, in 1961, he had become the titular Maharaja of Gwalior being a descendant of the Scindia dynasty of the Marathas. However, in the 26th amendment[1] to the Constitution of India promulgated in 1971, the Government of India abolished all official symbols of princely India, including titles, privileges, and remuneration (privy purses).

Scindia was born to the last ruling Maharaja of Gwalior, Jivajirao Scindia. He was educated at the Scindia School, endowed by his family, in Gwalior, Winchester College and then at New College, Oxford. After Indian independence in 1947, the princely state of Gwalior acceded to the Union of India and became part of the new state of Madhya Bharat, which in 1956 was merged into Madhya Pradesh. Scindia followed the political tradition set by his mother Rajmata Vijayraje Scindia, who was elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Indian parliament in 1971.
