Teacher: Mike Class: EP3 Lily Week: 4 Sem 2 Dates: 25/11/13-29/11/13

This week we are learning:


Circle Time Review
This week in circle time we are going to review the 4 questions we looked at last week. We will also focus on punctuation and making full sentences when asking questions or giving answers. We will do a quick review of the sight words on the wall. We will play get together where students walk around the room and I randomly shout out a number between and !. "tudents must quickly form groups of this number and the odd students are eliminated.

Full sentences
Activity Time

This week we are going to continue to e#plore the theme of full sentences. We are going to focus on sentence structure in more detail. This will include punctuation such as commas$ full stops$ question marks$ e#clamation marks$ speech marks and capital letters at the start of every sentence. I will use punctuation flashcards to teach students the terms and we will play flash card draw$ where % students stand back to back$ each holding a flashcard. They then take & paces and turn. The st student to call out the others flash card wins point for their team. I will write sentences on the board without any punctuation and the students are invited to come and stick on punctuation pictures in the correct places in the sentence. We will do a worksheet where students cut out many different words and are asked to create sentences by putting these words into order. 'f course$ not forgetting to add punctuation marks. They will then show the rest of the class and will read out the sentence. We will also complete a worksheet where the students read full sentences and then add capital letters and punctuation to each sentence.
