Dayrit PHARM 3Y2-1 Reaction Paper on the College of Pharmacy Mission-Vision The College of Pharmacy envisions being a topnotch provider of excellent education to future pharmacy professionals through its compliance with industry standards. The Colleges vision has been exemplary through the years. Inspired by the perspectives and aspirations of its faculty, students, and staff this has been pursued certainly. Working together in a spirit of collaboration and complementarity gives birth to its realization. The College envisions a community of scholars who will instill the desire to pursue intellectual excellence and critical inquiry to advance the profession. The College of Pharmacy is committed to prepare students to become ethical, professionally competent, research, and community service-oriented and environmentally conscious pharmacists by providing responsive curriculum, quality and innovative instruction, relevant practicum experience, and appropriate research and support activities. The College seeks collaborative opportunities with community partners and other educational institutions which make sense and allows it to enhance its mission. It exemplifies that the Colleges mission is to encourage and to recognize the excellence in intellectual achievement among its members in the ever growing competition around the word through cultivating and nurturing in its students the value and need for a commitment to life-long learning, community service, and social responsibility. Furthermore, it prepares its members to be independent thinkers, ethical leaders, reflective servants in their occupations, and citizens for the common good; it encourages high standards of conduct and character, and advocates critical inquiry in all aspects of Pharmacy to bring forth a sense of pride and prestige to its members and to the College. As a college that continuously seek for excellence, through the integration of teaching and providing a high degree of professional competence, it is committed for the health improvement of the community. The College of Pharmacy is empowered to operate at its ideal in providing accessible quality education as it is also aligned with a community that is deeply rooted in Christian values. To its main point, the College mission-vision seeks to bridge the gap between experience and knowledge, to encourage questioning minds, and to respond to the expanding expectations of a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff with various world views, settings, and experiences in the aspects of Pharmacy worldwide.
