AAPG Shell Undergraduate Scholarship


The AAPG Foundation announces the AAPG Undergraduate Research Scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year. Funding is provided by the generous donation from Shell Oil Company. Description: The purpose of this scholarship is to help support an undergraduate geology and geophysics students at the University of Oklahoma. Eligibility is determined on the basis of several factors including financial need, academic performance and research activities. This scholarship is intended to help students focus more on scholastic pursuits at the University of Oklahoma. Grant Size and Usage: The disbursement of the grant for the 2013-2014 academic year will consist of $1,000 and will be used to support students in need. Eligibility: - Current undergraduate geology and/or geophysics student in good academic standing - Having completed at least 24 credits. Application: Students should submit an essay attached with a copy of their transcript The essay should consider the following: - Description of qualification and needs - Expenses to be covered - The essay should be in between 500 and 1000 words (1-2 pages approximately) Submit your application by e-mail to Jessica Tranton at [email protected] by Friday November 10.
