Dynamics of Structures

This document provides information about the Dynamics of Structures course offered in Spring 2001 at the University of Central Florida. The course objectives are to develop analytical procedures to evaluate the dynamic characteristics of structural systems and analyze structures subjected to time-dependent loads. Students will learn ordinary differential equations, Fourier series, structural modeling/analysis, and numerical methods. The textbook is Dynamics of Structures by Anil Chopra, and evaluation will be based on homework, two tests, a project, and a final exam. The course outline lists 16 topics that will be covered over the semester ranging from single degree of freedom systems to continuous systems and multi degree of freedom analysis.
