Barteca is the parent company of two restaurant concepts which include Barcelona Wine Bar and Bartaco. The company nearly doubled in size while I was the Controller growing from six Barcelona Wine Bars to eight and from zero Bartacos to three. The growth of employees increased from just over two hundred to more than six hundred. My responsibilities included generating the weekly financial package which was reviewed at the weekly managers meeting. The package included a Profit & Loss, a COGS Report and various sales charts; each of these reports was created for each location. I improved the payroll process from being entirely a manual process to an automated process by having employee log ins being imported from the restaurant POS into our payroll system. I also improved the processing of employee credit cards from a manual process to importing each charge on the credit card into QuickBooks along with an explanation next to each charge.
