    SMART SHOPPING Know your Budget. When we go shopping, we can be tempted by cheap sales and special offers. Everything seems to be a necessity. To be a smart consumer, we should buy only what, one can afford and needs. Get value for our money. The money we spend should be well-spent. Check the label for expiry dates. Make sure the things like can food, food stuff and groceries have a long shelf life. Make sure you go around a few supermarkets, hypermarkets and malls to compare prices. Some shopping centres offer fair prices. So, you can buy in bulk at the hypermarket or the wholesale market to share with friends. You will be surprised at how much you can save. Eat fresh food. Be health-conscious and buy fresh food rather than canned or packed food. Go to the wet market and suffer some discomfort. Eat more apples, oranges, bananas and mangoes. To add on, eat more capsicum, celeries, bitter gourd besides green vegetables. Use the fresh fruits and vegetables to make your own juice.
