    Do you want to live on another planet? The Dutch company Mars One is sending people to Mars. It's a journey of seven to eight months. And it's a one-way trip. Dutch businessman Bas Lansdorp started the project. He plans to send four people to Mars in 2023. He will send more people every two years. He wants there to be a total of 50 settlers. The settlers will live in two closed containers, called "units." There will be smaller units to hold supplies. New settlers will bring more supplies with them. The settlers will get energy from the sun. They'll grow their own food. They'll take water from the soil and recycle it. There will even be a reality TV show. People will watch the settlers living on Mars. Lansdorp thinks the show will make $6 billion dollars. He will use the money to pay for the mission. Gravity on Mars is very weak. The settlers would probably never be able to get used to Earth's gravity again. That is one reason the ticket to Mars will be only one way. It will also be hard to live on Mars. There is no liquid water, and almost no atmosphere. It also has radiation, and is very cold. Many scientists think the settlers won't be able to live there for long.
