*Areas 1. HRM 2. ECONOMICS 3. ACCOUNTS 4. FINANCE 5. STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT 6. MARKETING MANAGEMENT 7. LAW 8. ADVERTISING 9. INDIAN MANAGEMENT 10. RURAL MARKETING. [ALL SUBJECTS OF SEM 1 TO SEM 6] *Topics 1. Take 1 area from the following- eg. Marketing, HR, Strategic Management. 2. Take 1 small part in the whole area- eg. HRM- Latest recruitment methods. 3. Application of the selection into the organization. Eg. Recruitment methods in XYZ. *Types of projects 1. Case study 2. Survey 3. Exploratory Project. 1. Case study : Eg- recruitment method in XYZ organization -studying a case - how they are implementing the method -problems overcome by them. -it should be of only 1 organisation. 2 or more organization is not a case study. then it becomes a comparative study 2. Survey: -asking questions to individuals or authorities in the organization. -eg. How strategic marketers.? -questionnaire

-conclusion should be based on questions. -it contains tables and graphs. 3. Exploratory project : -areas are economics and law. -advantages and disadvantages. -more than primary data, you will get secondary data. *Data in Ur Project : Types primary data and secondary data. 1. Primary data -it is the original data directly about the product and market. -it did not exist before. -it is designed to answer specific questions of interest to the business. -getting data by questionnaire from various people. Eg.1)Face-to-face interviewInterviewers ask people on the street or on their doorstep a series of questions. 2)Telephone interviewSimilar questions of face-to-face interview although often shorter. This kind is preferred to be avoided. 3)questionnaires with options. 4) online surveys. 2. Secondary data Sources- Journals, - Government reports, - Reports collected by institutions, - Newspapers, - Reference books, - Magazines, - Websites. -it is already written data. Convert the data into ur own words. It should be in passive voice. Eg- researcher has done There should be no usage of I, we. The data should not be downloaded from

websites or copied from the reference books directly. The data should be related to the research. *How to use data? -analyse primary data (if it is survey) and draw conclusions. -conclusion maximum people whom I had asked say they.. -primary data can be converted into graphs and tables. -analysis will lead to ones conclusion of the project. *Use of computers for analysis : 1. Microsoft Excel 2. Microsoft Access 3. SPSS (Statistical Package and Social Science) [not necessary to be used] *Presentation of the Project : 1st page PROJECT REPORT ON TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT IN BPO- A CASE STUDY. INDEX -details included in the project -tables, graphs, abbreviations -list of chapters -end : annexure (questionnaire) -annual report of the company -bibliography: -details of reference books, -magazines, -journals, -websites. -chapters should be 4 to 5. In a secondary data project, chapters will be less.i.e. may be 4. *CHAPTER 1 - Introduction of topic Introduction of project -it shud be written as third person. -title of the project. -objectives of the study (benefits of that topic) -methodology(how will u collect) -presentation of the study. *CHAPTER 2 -company profile -important information of the company. -highlights of the company -no information of products or long history. *CHAPTER 3 THEROTICAL VIEW Secondary data from various sources *CHAPTER 4 PRACTICAL VIEW It should be more than Findings, Conclusion Suggestions.

It contains analysed primary data collected and interpretation of the data. This company is using this method.. Suggestions/recommendations are based on the conclusion. *ANNEXURE Bibliography Eg. LOMIN, DG. Cyclotron waves in Plasma. Translated by AN, Dellis; edited by SM Hamberger, 1st ed. Oxford : Pergamon Press, 1981, 206p. -name of the book, author, publisher, edition. -to add annexure is not compulsory. Secondary data annexure required. Survey method should be done on 150-200 people and there should be proof of many peoples address, name and phone no. Project should be in 2 copies. CD- soft copy. MAT finish. Fonts Times New Roman, 12 or 14, space 1.5 for the whole project. Chapter names can be in different font sizes. The total project should be of minimum 100 pages and not more than 120 pages. Guide Lines on the Preparation of project Reports at the Semester VFew Orientation lectures shall be taken by the Project Co-ordinator to guide the students in Selection of the topic for projects. PROFORMA FOR SUBMISSION FOR FINAL PROJECT (200 MARKS) 1. All projects must be typed on A-4 sheets, font size one and half spacing on Executive bond paper. 2. 2 Rexin bound copies must be submitted. 3. No student shall attempt the same topic from the same College. 4. All projects must contain the following minimum requirements. A) PREPARATORY PARTS : 1. Cover to be labeled with the report title, the writers name (Optional) and the

submission date 2. (optional) 3. The project report shall be from the functional areas of management or from the modules of BMS 4. Syllabi. 5. Title page : The Title pages should include 4 blocks of information. i. Title of the report. ii. Name, address of the College/Institute that and the student who prepared the report. iii. Name, address of the Persons, organization that authorizes the report. (if any) iv. Name and address of the Guide. v. Date on which the report was submitted. 6. Project Certificate in the Prescribed Proforma to be provided by the Institute. 7. Table of contents. 8. List of Illustration & Visual Aids. 9. Synopsis or Executive summary. B) TEXT OF THE REPORT 1. The project report shall have appropriate Chapter Scheme and be presented in total indicative 2. Pages of 100-120 3. Introduction 4. Body : It consist of the major sections or chapters (with various level of heading) that present i. Analysis, and interpret the finding gathered as part of your investigation. These chapters ii. Contain the Proof the detailed information necessary to support your conc lusion and iii. recommendations. 5. Tools of Data Collection (if used) should be specified. 6. Conclusions :- The writers analysis of what the findings mean. These are the answers to the questions that led to the report. 7. Recommendations :- Opinions, based on reasons and logic about the course of action that should be taken. C) SUPPLEMENTARY PARTS : 1. Acknowledgments & Bibliography :- You have ethical and legal obligations to give

the other i. People credit for their work. ii. Acknowledging your source also enhance the credibility of Your Report. By citing reference of Books & Websites in the iii. Text you demon 2. state that you thoroughly researched the topic. 3. Annexure 4. Sample questionnaires (if used). Note : The Declaration & Certificate should be attached in the Prescribed Proforma which shall be provided by the coordinator/guide. OTHER IMPORTANT GUIDELINES1) Students should use simple and good English while writing the report. Avoid grammatical errors. 2) The problem and objectives should be clearly stated. Avoid ambiguity. 3) No aspects of the structure of the report should be omitted. 4) Important to include Bibliography, List of tables, Certificate from guide and acknowledgments. 5) The report should be about 100-120 pages
