Church of Jerusalem… 2
Welcome to the Church of Jerusalem, this is a fellowship that is accepting faithful people
looking for the salvation and redemption. As you read our brochure, you will find answers to
some of the questions that you might have. Make sure to ask any of our members for help, that is
We want to invite you to be part of the incredible life changing that we are now
witnessing. Have heard about all the events that are happening with the teachings of the one
called Jesus? These events are happening in front of hundreds of people to whom He appeared
after His resurrection, Jesus intends His followers to become members of the church. The church
is no a building and we are not identified by the location in which we meet; the church is group of
Peter filled with the Holy Spirit began to preach and calling all the Jews to follow Christ in
belief and baptism. Peter baptized 5,000 people after his first sermon. All these events followed
when the Holy Spirit appeared to His apostles as tongues of fire. Before Jesus ascended into
Heaven, He told his followers “And you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon
you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Church of Jerusalem… 3
Jesus wanted the word to be heard and that is the reason why we are here offering the opportunity
to experience the amazing experience of this Church, our mission is to spread the gospel.
As a church family, we have many objectives; when you become a member of this church
you help us create a strong fellowship, we encourage and teach each other about our knowledge
of Christ’s ministry. As a group that wants the word to be spread, we must have some kind of
Our Apostles come to play a very important part of this church, the are witnesses of Jesus’
life and they will be writing HIS life, miracles, teachings and suffering for all of us to live by it.
The work of the apostles and many members of our Church of Jerusalem are varied and merciful.
Jesus told His disciples that they would do even greater things than He did because He was going
to send the Holy Spirit to them. For example, Peter healed a beggar outside the temple.
As a member of the Church of Jerusalem, don’t expect a life of ease, however, you must have
devotion and obedience. Members of the church are not required to donate their property; our
members freely gave of what they had for the common good. As the people of the city started to
see the things that God is doing, they are becoming more interested in being a part of our
fellowship.
Also, when the Jewish religious leaders began to see the wonderful things that the disciples
are doing and the many miracles that they are able to work, they started to persecute not only the
disciples, but also the entire church. This had several effects and you should not fear them. The
main one is that is not dissuading the disciples from preaching the gospel, instead is causing some
of the Christians in Jerusalem to flee to other parts of the world, the good part is that they are
taking the gospel with them, spreading the word across the world. This dispersion of Christians
continues and grows in its scope as the persecution in Jerusalem begins to increase.
Church of Jerusalem… 4
The Church of Jerusalem is not a socializing event. As Peter explains, membership in the
Church of Jerusalem is a matter of faith. Everyone attempting to join the Church of Jerusalem is
require to be exhorted to repent and be baptized receiving this way a miraculous and mysterious
baptism of the Holy Spirit, at this time they speak in various languages to help spread the word
In Conclusion
Some gentiles have received this gift of the Holy Spirit by repenting of their sins and
accepting baptism. It seems that no efforts of the religious leaders are able to stop the good will,
support, and power that the church has to be able to reach the people, we need people with faith
to join us and help the Church of Jerusalem be successful with the assignment that Jesus Christ
left us to do.
