Designed, developed and tested an ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Application for company use. Learned HTML5 technologies to develop the front-end for the ASP.NET application worked on during the term. Worked with Microsoft software products such as C#.NET in Visual Studio 2012 and MS SQL Server. Worked with a team of engineers spread across Canada to solve company software issues using Lync. Collaborated with a Senior Engineer to document the architecture of the Web Application that was developed. Contributed to internal company applications that were in the process of development. Developed a custom FTP client from the ground up using .NET and C# to transfer SQL database files from clinical units to secure government servers. Mastered the new Microsoft Expression Studio software suite for the software department and ran tutorials to teach the team how to use the new tools. Worked with the Software development team to introduce new improvements to the company software suite. Performed Verification and Validation tests on medical hearing diagnostic hardware and software that is used worldwide. Researched and developed improvements to the current line of Baylis NRG Radio-Frequency puncture transseptal needles for use in transseptal catheterization procedures. Developed a solid understanding of Baylis products and was responsible for design and production of critical tools and machines used to produce Baylis products. Released a new transseptal needle to an existing family of Baylis products as part of a team of experienced Engineers and other co-op students. Managed and executed various projects in a professional environment including laser welding development, plastic injection molding, UV/IR curing systems and implementation of a needle cleaning and drying system in an ISO standard clean room. Researched ways to improve the echogenicity of Baylis NRG needles in the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto using ultrasound equipment. Tested products according to company quality policies and ISO standards using electrical testing equipment and various force gauges.
