Number Plane Treasure Hunt
Game requirements:
A class of students, at least 20 would be good.
Space to move around, a normal classroom is fine.
Required knowledge:
How to locate points on the number plane.
Knowing the -axis and -axis and the four quadrants.
(if they are not confident, a quick review before starting should be enough, and if they are struggling, you can
leave a diagram on the board.)
Preparation:
Print the pages. Two on one A4 page is good.
Each student will need one sheet and a pen or pencil.
How to Play:
Each sheet has coordinates in the middle these are that students coordinates.
They need to find another student whose coordinates match the criteria in each square. They need to write
that students name and coordinates in that square. Each one needs to be a different student.
The first n student to complete all the squares win (where n is the number of prizes you have)
