A young man named Arivu rushes to meet his friends Prasad and Soukar under a tree on their college campus after finishing an exam. He is out of breath from running across campus. Soukar looks disappointed about something related to the exam. He mentions to Arivu that he missed a two-mark question that could have gotten him a better grade. Their friend M Tech calls Soukar and invites them to a party that night, saying the exam went poorly. Arivu jokes that M Tech is aiming to get his PhD in just 5 years. Plot: Its not a story about four friends and their college life.. Evalo naal than athaye ezutharthu A young boy in his early twenties is standing under a tree which is inside a college. Bell rings, students come out of the rooms and from the heavy crowd a guy pushes everyone, filled with happiness throws his book up and keeps running till he reaches the guy under the tree. Arivu Azagan: Machi.. (pants).. apaadi oru vazhiya over da. Sappa paper. Enga nama Soukaru (panting) Prasad: Varuvan nee thaniya kudi (without much expressions gives him water which arivu pours on his head to release the tension ) Soukar: Spinning the book in his hand reaches his friends. Looks a bit sad. Prasad: Enna da easy paper nu gundan sonnan, dei bookalan vera thooki potaye da (looks at arivu), nee sogama iruke. Soukar: Prasadu namma plan padi, padichathulaye oru two mark question than da vanthuchu. Thadiya sambanthame illama santhosa paduvan. (Stares at Arivu) Arivu: Ethu eppadiyo ipa manasu lighta iruku... rakka katti parakanum pola iruku. Looks up (smilingly) Soukar: Intha varusham mudikaravangale amaithiya bus ku poitu irukanga. Namma pona varusha set,, en da alaparaya kootra. (Arivu still smiling in his own world) Phone rings ( M Tech Calling) puts in speaker. Soukar: M Tech anne sollunga.. M Tech: Dei thambigala, exam la mudinjirthu pola.. Sirappu da.. apa iniku party than. Arivu: Nee thane peruya manushan.. Namma soukar etho pondatiya tholacha mari ninthutu irukan. Ennanu kelu nee Prasad: (Interupts)Anne ungaluku nalaiku oru arrear iruke ne marunteengala.. Arivu: Anna la M Tech kaye Phd ya panravaru da, 5 varusham targetu, exam la emmatharam (Soukar and Prasad laugh) M Tech: Thadiya, gethu ethi kalaykaraya, iru di nightu vechukaren. Seri thambigala namma nightu Velachery la oru sessiona poturvom. Sirappu da.. vechidren.

Hangs the phone, the three friends laugh at each other, walk towards the bus stop. All the four of them share a single bedroom house in outskirts of Chennai near their college. All four have finished college but effectively Prasad has only passed completely. Arivu and Soukar have one paper arrear each in Digital Circuits. M Tech annan as said is in the way of getting Phd (only time wise). So wats common in them Ofcourse the college they studied MIT (Mariyamman Institute of Technology) and course eppavum pola antha ezavedutha ECE (Athula M Tech vera oruthar ).
