Compiz Commands

When configuring Compiz the mouse buttons are referred to as ButtonX according to the following: Button 1 Left Mouse Button Button 2 Centre Mouse Button (click-able scroll wheel in some cases) Button 3 Right Mouse Button Button 4 Scroll Wheel Up Button 5 Scroll Wheel Down

Move Through Workspaces


CTRL + ALT + Left/Right Arrow -- Move to the next workspace in the given direction. CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + Left/Right Arrow -- Move to the current window to next workspace in the given direction. SUPER + E -- Shows all workspaces (move windows with left mouse button, zoom to a workspace with right mouse button) CTRL + ALT + DOWN Arrow Unfold all the workspaces CTRL + ALT + Mouse Button 1 Rotate all the workspaces like a Cube.

Manage Windows in a Workspace


Super + w Shows all windows in current workspace (left click selects window, middle click closes window, right click zooms window) ALT + F10 Toggle Maximize Current Window ALT + F9 Minimize Current Window CTRL+ ALT + D Toggle Show Desktop ALT + Middle Mouse Button Resize Current Unmaximized Window ALT + Left Mouse Button Move Current Unmaximized Window ALT + F7 Move Current Unmaximized Window (without holding down mouse button) ALT+ F8 Resize Current Unmaximized Window (without holding down mouse button) ALT+ TAB Switch to Next Window Using Ring Switcher on Current Workspace

Group and Tab Windows


SHIFT + CTRL + Button 1 Select windows to be grouped. Super + g Group windows. Super + u Ungroup windows Super + r Remove Group Window Super + c Close Group. Super + t Tab Group Super + Left Arrow Change Tab Left Super + Right Arrow Change Tab Right

ZOOM IN DESKTOP
Super + Button 4 Zoom In CTRL + ALT + Super + UP Arrow Zoom In Super + Button 5 Zoom Out CTRL + ALT + Super + DOWN Arrow Zoom Out

MAGNIFIER BOX
SHIFT + Super + m - Initiate Action SHIFT + Super + Button 4 Zoom In inside the box. SHIFT + Super + Button 5 Zoom Out of inside the box.

NEGATIVE
Super + N Toggle Window Negative. Super + M Toggle Screen Negative.

FIRE ON SCREEN
SHIFT + Super + Button 1 Initiate the fire. SHIFT + Super + C Clear the fire from screen.

Drawing On SCREEN
ALT + Super + Button 1 Initiate Drawing on screen ALT + Super + Button 3 Initiate Eraser. ALT + Super + k Clear Drawing.
