Image Notes 1. Don't be silly! Measure how big the piece is!
Image Notes 1. This is a half-cast mold with one of the sides removed. This was the mold for the mandible (jaw) of the skull. Just note the relative size of the box. It is only slightly bigger than the mandible in footprint, but tall enough to encase both halves of the mold.

Image Notes 1. This was the highest point on the bone. I should have put the sprues here! But I did not. 2. You will also need channels for the wax to come up on from the ends. Remember that you will be displacing air when you are doing the wax casting! You don't want this air to be trapped.

Image Notes 1. Looks like chocolate, but its really wax. Chocolate coyote skulls could be a thing though......... 2. Another note: use some old pans to do this. You don't want t get wax all over your good pans. it is hard to clean.
