    Construction of Ghanem Holdings Office Building

    Date: 28 March 2012 Material Submittal Reference No. RTC-132-ME-53/11- REV-00 (Vibration Isolators/Inertia Base - Weicco) Mechanical Comment Sheet

    1. We have no objection to your material submittal for the Vibration Isolators (Weicco - India) as its comply with the approved manufacturers, However subject to comply on the following: a. Submit compliance statement for the offered vibration isolation system (Inertia Base/ Spring Isolators) for verification to the project requirement/specifications. b. Submit calculations for Inertia Base / Spring Isolators as per the requirement and operating weight of the chilled water pump. The calculation shall include and attach the Chilled Water pumps operating weight and dimensional shop drawing with point loads; this pumps information shall provided and certified by the pump manufacturer/supplier. c. Technical data sheet for the cased spring isolators shall be attached along with the material submittals. 2. Your brief calculation stating that the inertia base is minimum 1 times weight of the pump set is not acceptable. ( Refer to project specs for your guidance)
