Jean comes from a long line of Valkyre serving Odin, descended from Baldr. His father died in an accident onboard a cargo ship. His mother hasn't been seen since. An oracle told her that her family would die that night, and she intervened. Jean took the lesson, his mother's determination, and kept it with him.

Phase Two

Tutored by and lived with Valkyres Annie, Benjamin, and Jonah. On a training mission, plans went awry when Red Court vampires appeared. Annie and Jean were ordered to guard a specific point and wait for further instruction while Benjamin and Jonah fought on another floor. As the fight drew on, Jean's emotions eventually overcame him. He left his post to join the fray, saving Jonah's life, although Benjamin was lost to death.
