IDT Tool open steps : Start >> Programs >> Business Objects 4.0 >> IDT Design Tool

Follow the Steps for Creating IDT Designing by Using SAP BEx as a Source System.

maintain the description for New Local project Name and Project Location

Step 2: After Creating Local Project, We have to make Connection Between Source System and IDT By Using RDBMS/ OLAP .

step :3 Maintain the OLAP Connection Name and Description here

step:4 Here We are selecting Source System. ( SAP BICS Client)

step:5 After Selecting Source System, We have give the All the SAP BW Server Details, If is first time. Otherwise We can use Existing Connection ( * Test Connection, Where server is Responding or Not)

Step: Right click on Selected server from Repository Resource then maintain the credential

Step : Right click on selected folder then if it is SAP BW (OLAP ) Data Base in back end then go with the Insert OLAP Connection. if it is Non SAP Data Base I mean Oracle, Microsoft, MS SQL ... please go with Insert Relational Connection ..........Here I am selecting Insert OLAP Connection.

Step: Maintain the Description ...

page : Select the Source System, Here I am selecting SAP Net weaver Source System, selecting SAP BICS Connection

Step : Maintain the BO Credential(Standard Connection User ID, Password)........

Step : Select the Required Info Provider... so that we can bring all the BEx under the same info provider

step: You can see all the BEx Under the Info Provider. Here for Example: LMS Lead Data is a Info Provider under . five BEx under the same LMS Lead Data will carry By using single BICS Connection. We can call all SAP BEx Under same Multi provider

Step : It the Image from SAP BEx System, ( Cross checking With the Source System) Login to SAP BW System .... By Giving T Code --------------RSRT ( We can get these Screen ) (* Only for Below Screen )

Non- SAP IDT Design ( Modeling)


Step : We have to Create Local Project for Accessing Multiple Data Source at a time, for Example OLAP/RDBMS ( Oracle, SQL)

Step : Location: C:/Users/admin/.businessobjects/bimodeler_14/workspace

Step : Database Middleware Driver Selection

Step : Maintain the Data Base Connection Server details ...

Step: Test Connection : Whether Server is Responding or Not

Step : Report Output Parameters configuration

Step : Here we can Edit the Connection if Server is not Responding or We can change the Drivers

Step : Connection Multiple Source system at time(* here we are choosing next Source system)

Step : Maintain the Description .....

Step : Here we are Selection Single/ Multiple Source systems at a time ( * it is not Available in BO XI R 3.1 Version UDT Design)

Step : Maintain the User Name and Pass word. System Name, Here Authentication Mode is Enterprise

Step : We can see the Connections in Below Screen

Step : After Selecting the Data base connection then we can import Tables and Make a joints, Checking Cardinality Cartesian product, Loops same like UDT Design.
