Devotional
And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. Titus 2:12-14 NLT
A life that is set apart for Christ is one that is entirely free of the taint of compromise, the approval of man, and the allure of the world all around us. As we walk that narrow way, we must remember that the witness of our lives to the world abroad is that we are different, NOT just some what different, but ALTOGETHER DIFFERENT! You are uniquely made, destined for greatness, and have been set apart from the beginning of time (Jer. 1:5). While the world around you tries to fit you into the box of conformity, remember that Gods yearning is for us to break that mold and be the change!
Are you saved? Do you know Christ? Are you born again? If so..YOU were born for this! Friend, YOU have been born of an incorruptible seed, a supernatural seed----the Word of God. You are a King's kid. You are royalty. Romans 5:17 says "For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ." When you gave your life over to Christ you no longer had the option of just identifying with your natural family, your past, your failures, or anything else. You are now identified with Christ. Yes, you were born a sinner because of Adam, but once you got born again your identity changed. You are no longer a sinner! Yes, you make mistakes..but you do not have to identify with the mistakes you've made, nor do you have to identify with being a sinner. When you asked Christ to be your Savior, your identity changed from being a sinner to being the righteousness of God. Romans 5:19 says, "Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous."
When Christ died on the cross, he took in the sin, the curse, the shame and the death. He absorbed all that into Himself and died with it. In His resurrection, God deposited everything in Christ that He wanted in man. God put in Christ what He wanted in you. In Christ, you have a whole new identity that changes you, your thinking. your direction, and everything about you. Precious as it is to proclaim, "Christ died for the world." Even sweeter it is to whisper, "Christ died for me." Friend, how sweet it is to proclaim that Christ died for us. He did this so that the moment you receive Jesus Christ by faith, His death becomes your death; His burial becomes your burial; His resurrection becomes your resurrection; His righteousness is your righteousness; His ascension is your ascension; His victory is your victory; His seating is your seating; His life is your life; And His blessing is your blessing. Everything that God put in Him now comes into you. This changes your identity. Continue Reading at: www.newsyoucanusersj.weebly.comwith

Run To Jesus
We could be enjoying the living water that only Christ can offer, yet
we choose substitutes that are shockingly, disgustingly inferior." "The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe." Proverbs 18:10 NLT
Where is your sanctuary? Where do you go when you're hurting? Who do you run to? Many times when I am disappointed, hurt, or just plain mad I will run to my phone and call my mom to vent. Let's stop here: "Your circle of associates will influence the way you think----good or bad. Surround yourself with wise, godly people!" Pastor Creflo Dollar Now, although my mother is my closest friend and although I completely trust her.AND although she is truly a woman of GodAND although she always gives me great, godly advice.she is not and cannot take the place of Jesus! The Bible tells us that God is our refuge and strength, our help in times of trouble (Ps. 46:1-2) and that the name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe (Pro. 18:10 NLT). These two scriptures tell me who to run to. "It's easy to forget, and so easy for us to run
Proverbs 31:12 NLT "She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life." Proverbs 31:12 NLT
Everyone and their momma knows about the Proverbs 31 woman. "Who can find a virtuous woman?" "She is clothed with strength and dignity...." etc. We read about her, we know women who are her, and we want to be her. I truly desire to become like the woman of Proverbs 31-----a woman who is beautiful in God's eyes. She is:
Honest----her husband trusts her (vs. 11-12) Industrious-----she is busy from sunup to sundown managing her interests and expanding her enterprises (vs. 13-19, 21-22, 24, 27, & 31) Provident-----her skill with finances enables her to care for her loved ones and increases her property (vs. 14 & 16) Strong in character----she faces the daily challenges of life with undaunted courage; she is a woman of integrity (vs. 25 & 29) Kind----she is compassionate and sweet speech comes from her lips (vs. 20 & 26) Wise----walking in wisdom is her way of life (vs. 26) Holy----she wholeheartedly loves the Lord and lives, walks, and talks like Christ (vs. 3) "Be ye holy, for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:16) Always remember that there is so much beauty in holiness. 4
Yes, the virtuous woman is a rare treasure----a distinctive, exceptional, extraordinary, superlative treasure----but according to God, the Author of all beauty, you and I can become all that she is. During my quiet time one day, as I studied this chapter, Proverbs 31:12 stood out to me. It reads, "She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life." ALL THE DAYS OF HER LIFE. ALL THE DAYS OF HER LIFE. All. The. Days. Of. Her. Life......
WHAT?!?!?
I've read this before plenty of times, and maybe just like me you assumed that maybe it meant that "all the days of her life" started after she says, "I do." Especially because you just like me have no clue who your future husband is! But as I began to spend some time with Christ......He began to show me that bringing my husband good and not harm.....all the days of my life.....starts right here, right now.....while I am single.
