Recruited participants and conducted interviews for the University of Arizona Longitudinal Study
of Student Writers.
Writing Program Research Assistant (Junior WPA), Univ. of Arizona. (August 2011August 2013)
Revised programs Student Learning Outcomes, collected and analyzed data for Annual Program
Review, launched five-year longitudinal study of student writers, organized events, wrote grants,
led trainings. Worked with the Director to implement research projects that included a range of
data collection practices (i.e., interviews, observations, surveys) that assessed the
professionalization of the writing program.
Writing Program Advisory Council Representative, Univ. of Arizona. (January 2011January 2012)
Served as the English Graduate Unions representative to the University of Arizonas Writing
Program Advisory Council.
Curriculum Development
Developmental Writing Course Pilot, Pima Community College. (August 2012December 2012)
Worked with seven instructors to implement a grant-supported Developmental Writing course.
Instructors met once a week to design common assignments, participate in grade norming, and
shape the course. Involved in data analysis regarding student retention and success.
Graduate Teacher Training Curriculum Redesign, Univ. of Arizona. (September 2011May 2012)
Worked with three other teaching assistants to redesign the University of Arizonas teacher
training program.

My English 101 curriculum was selected to be featured on our course materials page, WIRE, for
future instructors to model/adapt.
Student Interaction Initiatives
Social Media Coordinator, University of Arizona Writing Program. (Fall 2013)
Launched and maintained programs social media channels, promoting program events, campus
writing resources, and popular/academic writing articles for student engagement.
Coordinator, University of Arizonas National Day on Writing Event. (October 2012)
Organized the University of Arizonas first inaugural celebration of the NCTEs National Day on
Writing. Hosted over 650 students and coordinated 15 volunteers. Secured grant funding for the
event, organized all activities, and coordinated the overall event.
Coordinator, Why We Write Collaborative Event, University of Arizona. (Fall 2011)
Organized a collaborative event with two colleagues. Event was a cross-collaborative awards
ceremony and essay reading that included 125 students.
