(Tanzih and Tashbih)

The concept is rooted in the Quran. (90: 8, 10)


Have We not made for him two eyes?


And guided him on the two highways?

TANZIH


Quran (42:11) Like Him there is naught


Quran (37:180) Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe!


Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe to Him

TASHBIH


(Quran 1:2) All Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds

(Quran 182:37 ) And All Praise to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds Accordingly Subhan Allah is tanzih and Alhamdulillah is tashbih. Tanzih relates to Essence zaat and tashbih relates to sifat or asmaul husnah which are the causes of manifestation. Adam is the wholesome and supreme manifestation that is why the first word he spoke as he was created is Alhamdulillah The first ayah of the opening chapter of Quran is the word Alhamdulillah Rabul alameen

Ahad o Ahad Absolute and Absolute


Tanzih relates to Essence that is Absolute Unity Ahad

Tashbih relates to manifestation and Relative Absolute Wahid Writing Ahad side by side with wahid in Arabic as Ahad o Ahad with wao in between.

Wao stands for Adam in whom the Ahad as Absolute and Ahad as Relative Absolute are ONE AHAD ONE ABSOLUTE. This apparent duality is because of Adamic point of view. It is this apparent duality which needs to be made into the Real Unity that is Tawhid

This is the metaphysical root of Shirk
