Job Description of Assistant Restaurant Manager

JOB TITLE: DEPARTMENT/ SUPERVISOR: JOB SCOPE: Assistant Manager Restaurant General Manager Serves as assistant to the Restaurant General manager and provides additional management coverage of operating hours and direct supervision of operations in an individual unit Full responsibility for specific financial controls, Team Member training assignments, and the screening of prospective employees under the direction of the Restaurant General Manager Directly performs hands-on work on an ongoing basis to train employees, responds to customer service needs, or otherwise role models appropriate skills and behavior in the restaurant Provides overall leadership; recognizes and motivates members of the team, and coaches and trains the team for operational excellence Shift Supervisor(s), Team Member(s)

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in management of day-to-day operations by managing labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing restaurant team Analyze sales, labor, inventory, and controllable on continual basis, and takes corrective action to meet or achieve daily or weekly margin and sales growth targets Ensure that facility and equipment are maintained to company standards on a day-to-day basis Supervise others efficiently and coordinates their work Train new Team Members and conduct formal crew performance appraisal Assist in management of day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team Ensure national and local health and safety codes, and company safety and security polices are met Assist Profit & Loss management by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions Assist RGM in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members; conduct performance appraisals, take disciplinary action, motivate and train Assist RGM in doing yearly appraisal and confirmation of Team member Arranging Staff meeting every month/Writing down issues ,discussing and sharing with other management team.(Celebrate the success and make action plan if issues still persist. Helping RGM in CER(Action plan and follow up) Checking all reports of month end, before sending them to RSC Tracking all Team members performance for Top Gun Award Making sure to have Customer Mania story every month Making sure to have Customer Mania Session quarterly Arranging Training class Taking feed back from customer every day on phone Checking customer call back daily
