About Sri Sai


The vision of Sri K. Suryanarayana Reddy, an young, enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and altruist entrepreneur and educationist to create a premier institute for IT and Management education in the economically backward region of Rayalaseema of the state of Andhra Pradesh, has given birth to Sri Sai College of IT & Management in the year 2007. Ever since its origin the institute is striving hard to become a centre of excellence in IT and Management education in this region. The institute now offers MBAand MCA programmes affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur with an intake of 180 and 120 in each programme. Within a short span of 5 years the college has acquired very positive brand image among the graduate students in the region and it attracts the best talent from all over Rayalaseema.

The workshop
The one-day workshop aims at providing the participants an opportunity to learn the contemporary issues of Marketing and also help the young management graduates to understand the key issues of entrepreneurship and how to create a startup. Mr. Vinod Prabhu, an alumnus of IIMB will teach the secrets of becoming an expert marketer and also A-Z of Entrepreneurship.

Profile of Speaker
Vinod Prabhu completed his MBA from IIM Bangalore and possesses significant and varied experience of working for Fortune 500 and multi-billion dollar MNCs. He has worked for Deloitte and Touche, Hindustan UniLever and Mercer Consulting in their Consulting, Marketing and HR roles respectively. He has helped clients solve their Talent issues in India, US, Singapore, UAE, South Africa and Egypt. He realised that his true calling was in helping people reach their full potential and be truly successful. He quit his corporate career to set up Seventh Sense Talent Solutions, which offers soft skills training and recruitment solutions to corporate. The company also partners with startups and helps them manage their entire HR function, thereby helping them concentrate on their core competency. The company has served marquee corporate clients and continuously looks out for challenging opportunities. Management has experience serving clients such as ABB, GMR Group, Gammon India, SAP India Consulting, Marico, GE and Reliance Retail. Vinod envisions a company that would move beyond corporate clientele into rural India and make 100,000 rural Indians employable by 2015.

Session 2: EAZY: ENTREPRENEURSHIP A-Z AND YOU (Afternoon Session) Help you understand the different aspects and factors that need to be taken care of while conceptualizing any venture Facilitate generation of potential ideas from the participants Present a set of sample ideas and the process to shortlist them into viable opportunities (similar to what was followed by the facilitator) Expose them to strategies and tactics for starting, acquiring and growing any venture How do you find and get the right team Attracting stakeholders Bootstrap finance Venture capital Highlight the importance of business plans and showcase the contents of one Conduct a walkthrough of an actual business plan and help them understand the manner in which it was created Assist you in developing a business plan for an idea/opportunity that they would like to pursue

In his previous life as a corporate professional, Vinod was recognised by Deloitte &Touche as The Maverick, an honour awarded to the most innovative employee in the Company He has been featured in the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) as one of the young talents to watch out for. He helped the Government of Karnataka revamp the vocational education system in the state and was nominated for the IIMB Community Service Awards. He mentors students from IIM Bangalore in the course Entrepreneurial Manager conducted by the N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSR-GIV centre), co-founded by Mr N.S. Raghavan (founder and former Joint Managing Director of Infosys) and Global International Ventures (GIV). He was consistently rated in the top 3 in paper/case presentations at business festivals of multiple IIMs. His case was adjudged as the 3rd best case in the country by Price Waterhouse Coopers, Economic Times & Raymond. He is a winner of the Bronze Ogilvy given to the most creative person in the biggest business fest of the country Vista at IIM Bangalore
