Script
Group of students gathered in the playground talking before school. Student 1: Hey guys. How was your weekend? Student 2: I went to the footyI saw the Kangas beat the Tiges!!! Awesome game Brother: Our weekend was awesome too Student 3: Why do you say that? Sister: Well we went to the museum - the museum rocks! Student 2: Are you kidding me? Looking at dinosaur bones is just plain boring. Brother: So not!! Do you know how hard it is to find dinosaur bones? Student 1: Come on it cant be that hardYou just dig around in the dirt! Sister: Youve got no idea. People spend years searching the world over to find the stuff that goes in museums. Student 3: How come you know so much? Brother: The curator told us all about the life of an archaeologist - there was one in particular, but I cant remember his name. (Indiana music theme song into) We Come Running dance After Recess time Student 2: So tell us more about the museum Im still not convinced. Brother: Well some archaeologists travel for much of the year and find special treasures to display in museums all over the world. Student 1: It sounds like they are real treasure hunters. I wonder if any of them have really scary adventures? Sister: Well we did see a mummies tomb at the museum and the curator told us.... Student 3: A mummies tomb? Sister: (Look of disdain) Anyway like I was saying.. the curator told us that in places like Cairo, the locals arent very umm...shall we say co-operative. Market place dance Lunchbell Student 3: Im glad its lunchtime.. because you can tell us more about museums! Student 1: Did you learn anything about Australia? Sister: Well we did learn about Phar Lap.. Brother: We also learned that Dad is really scared of spiders and loves coffee. Student 2: Hey, my dad too! Sister: It must be a man thing. Student 3: I bet you that archaeologists arent scared of spiders and snakes. Sister: I wouldnt be so sure. David Attenborough scene? Student 2: Well, Im prepared to admit I was wrong. A trip to the museum would be fun and archaeologists are cool. Brother: They have to be risk takers our world can be a very unpredictable place. Student 3: A bit like Frankston! Student 1: Okay youve convinced me too, museums are not boring. Sister: Definitely not youve got to be careful out there when youre a treasure hunter.
