DESIGN AND SIMULATION

Assignment #6
Property Calculation
Q: Determine the property data of Xylene (o,m or p Xylene)

Write down the following data for your given compound.

Normal Boiling Point, Molecular Weight (to 4 decimal places), Critical Pressure, Critical Temperature, accentricity factor

Calculate the following properties for your compound. Write the coefficient data for each equation and detailed reference where (correlation name, book, page number, index number, etc.) Calculate any five of the following properties:
Viscosity of Vapour Viscosity of Liquid Thermal Conductivity of Vapour Thermal Conductivity of Liquid Heat Capacity of Liquid Heat Capacity of Vapour Vapour Pressure

Conditions for Calculation: Vapour Conditions: Use a temperature 510C above normal boiling point for vapour conditions and pressure as atmospheric. Liquid Conditions: Use a temperature 510C below normal boiling point for liquid conditions and pressure as atmospheric. You can use room temperature 25C provided that the component is liquid at room temperature.

Solution: Properties of m-Xylene Property
