helped to show the powers that be in ashington that civil rights did matter and matter very much indeed. ith the
addition of white protestors* civil disobedience gained an even louder voice and showed that the civil rights movement had
even wider support than previously thought or acknowledged. Civil +isobedience also put a face on the movement as well
