To develop in the student participants the confidence in performing in front of an audience; and 3. To foster competitiveness and sportsmanship in the student participants. What is Sing-A-Like? Sing-A-Like is a group activity which requires the performers to present their creative ideas through impersonating a musical group. In Sing-A-Like, it is encouraged to create an image of the musical group as how they are seen on television or in concerts. Costumes are highly encouraged so as to effectively create the image of the musical group. The craft will consist of singing in lip sync with the background music as if the performers were the ones singing the musical piece, accompanied by dancing. Who may join the Sing-A-Like Competition? Every organization (Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, Junior Executive Society, and Information Management Council) shall be required to have one entry but is allowed to have a maximum of three entries. Each entry shall be allowed to have 4 10 members only. All student participants must be enrolled in any degree program under the School of Management Sciences of the University. All student participants must represent the organization to which he/she belongs. What are the rules and regulations in the Sing-A-Like Competition? The School of Management Sciences Student Organization wants the Sing-ALike Competition to be a healthy one. Thus, to all student participants, please take heed of the following rules and regulations. Failure to observe such may lead to the disqualification of your group in the competition. 1. The list of student participants must be submitted on or before July 12, 2013, Friday, 5:00 PM, to the activity coordinator. 2. The student participants have the liberty to choose which musical group they are going to impersonate. 3. The name of the musical group should be communicated to the activity coordinator through text message until July 12, 2013. This will be on a first choice basis. Once the representative of the student participants has communicated their choice of musical group, they are not allowed to change

it anymore. The activity coordinator will notify the group if their choice is accepted. If a musical group has already been chosen by one who has already notified the activity coordinator, the group who communicated after will be notified to change their choice. The student participants should submit their musical piece stored in a flash drive to the activity coordinator on July 16, 2013. Only the activity coordinator could see the files and they shall be treated with confidentiality. The performance shall not be less than five minutes but shall not be more than ten minutes. The student participants could ask assistance from their respective suborganizations. The student participants are encouraged to be creative yet thrift in their craft. The student participants shall be responsible for their costumes and props during the performance day. Please be responsible in cleaning your own mess and putting them away in the right place. The student participants are encouraged to develop sportsmanship and competitiveness in the activity. No petty fights between groups should be heard of.
Criteria for Judging Performance 50 % - Did the group give justice to the musical group they portrayed? - Is the performance laudable? Choreography 40 % - Are the movements coordinated and the arrangement of actions appropriate? Creativity 10 % - Was the performance crafted creatively?
