RFID RFID is a wireless non-contact system that uses the radio waves for identification. In this system it uses the RFID tags and RFID reader for identification. The RFID tag is a microchip along with a compact antenna. The RFID tag comes in two flavor, ACTIVE tag and PASSIVE tag. The Active tag has a power backup and that power is used for its communication with RFID reader. The passive tag doesn't have a power source, it just creates a magnetic induction with the signal coming from RFID reader for its communication. The microchip in the tag has the data that will be used for the identification by the reader. The Radiofrequency Identification System has a wide range of application starting from warehousing, vehicle-tracking, goods-tracking, tracking cattle's, logistics, smart road management etc,. In this work we use the RFID for a Smart Traffic Management System (STMS).The STMS uses the RFID system for many things like vehicle-monitoring, toll collection, vehicle speed monitoring etc,. SMART TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (STMS): This system reduces the traffic, emerging at toll gate due to payment delays. In the existing systems it consists of servers connected to data center which overloads the traffic in data connection. For each usage the transaction will be carried out in the data center leads to a slow data retrieval and concurrency problem. In some cases there is a possibility in the loss of connection to the server due to overloading. Possibility of hacking/ crashing of server is high. To address this problem we consider the implementation of STMS.
Smart Traffic Management System The proposed system removes the drawbacks of lack of security and slow access through the use of clouds. Account creation is made for each user and stored as text file .Here a cooperative PDP (CPDP) [1] scheme based on homomorphic verifiable response and hash index hierarchy is involved. This text file is then given to homomorphic encryption which provides security to credentials data of the user to charge for the usage of road. This is then split into blocks and stored in multi clouds for ease of access and prevention from destruction of information. Implementation on multi clouds provides efficiency, safe and fast retrieval of data. It reduces the chance of losing data by hardware failures. To achieve this goal, TPA is created as a core trust base on multi clouds for the purpose of security. TPA acts as an intermediate, so that clients communicate with only with TPA to get access permission rather than communicating directly with CSP (cloud service provider). Hence access to the data stored in clouds is restricted to the trusted users.
Hence the attack which is involved in PDP, data leakage attack and tag forgery attack [1] is prevented. To make data security stronger Homomorphic encryption is used, in which tag value is provided by the user and the TPA performs the encryption. Whenever user wants to download the details it must provide the tag value. The advantages of this proposed system is summarized as follows: 1. Easy toll collection process; 2. Implementation cost is low; 3. Smaller in size compared with the existing system etc,. FUTURE ENHANCEMENT In this Smart Traffic Management System (STMS) supporting modules or future enhancements like vehicle monitoring, speed check etc,. can also be included using automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) technology and Photograph-to-Transaction matching algorithm (PT algorithm)[3] to avoid any kind of enforcement violations. CONCLUSION In this paper, the construction of Smart Traffic Management System (STMS) leads to the revolution in traffic management. One of the main objective is to minimize the average waiting time at toll gate by the user. Here the system is scalable due to the usage of multi-cloud system. Thereby it will greatly reduce the cost involved in installing and maintaining the data centers. Usage of multi clouds provides faster retrieval and consistency of data is maintained.
