LECTURE#1
In the first lecture the instructor starts with those basic concepts of mathematics that are important in understanding calculus. In the beginning he introduces the definition of numbers that involves real, rational, irrational and natural numbers by using number line diagram, afterwards he targeted the concepts of inequalities, absolute value, equations and study their properties by giving sufficient examples. In the end, he introduces different types of intervals such as open, open-closed, closed-open and closed intervals, and finally he ends the lecture by solving inequalities.
LECTURE#2
He starts the lecture by giving a brief review of previous lecture. His main focus in this lecture will be on functions, its types and properties. He starts with the definition of a function and its graphical representation by giving some very important examples which will be very useful in later study of this course. He then describes a concept of domain and range of a function by giving useful examples. In the end, composition of two functions is being discussed.
LECTURE#3
In the first half part of this lecture he focuses on different properties of functions such as translation, reflection, stretches and compressions of functions. He then gives different important examples of symmetric functions. In the last half part he introduces different types of functions by giving related examples such as polynomial, rational and algebraic functions.
LECTURE#4
He continued the previous lecture by giving some more types of functions such as inverse, trigonometric, inverse trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions and explains these concepts by giving related examples.
LECTURE#5
This lecture deals with a very important concept of limits and its computation (numerically and graphically). He starts the lecture by giving official definition of a limit and explains that concept by
different examples; he then introduces the idea of horizontal and vertical asymptotes. In the end of this lecture, he teaches very useful techniques of computing limits.
LECTURE#6
The instructor describes the concept of limits at infinity and explains it with different useful examples, and then gives introduction to continuity.
LECTURE#7
He continued the previous lecture and explains concept of continuity by related examples, then he introduces the concept of slope of tangent line, displacement and velocity using limits. In the end, he starts a new topic called differentiability.
