#TrainingCourse @Social Media - Social You is designed for #YoungPeople and youth workers, interested in phenomenon of #NewMedia. The main objective of the training course is to show the participants how they can use the opportunities given by the information and communication technologies efciently, for promoting #ActiveCitizenship, #Creativity or use them as a tool for #Entrepreneurship.

The training course builds on the idea that in the environment of new media, the #user is not just a passive #consumer but also an author and active #creator of the content. In this perspective, ICTs are also a tool of a major #SocialChange, transformation of modern society into networked society. #TrainingCourse will provide an opportunity for those involved in youth work to improve their #knowledge on how to promote #participation in NGOs and useful skills, which they can use during cooperation with #organizations or #individuals. #Participants will be also motivated to express themselves, discuss positives and negatives of #SocialMedia and become #active creators of meaningful content and share stories and #experience, as these can be the best inspiration for their peers in their #community. During the project the role of #MassMedia and new #tools and #opportunities will be discussed, and the participants will exchange the #BestPractices from their countries.

#Participation Participation in this #TrainingCourse is free of charge. #Expenses for activities,catering and accommodation, as well as #70percent of your #TravelCosts are covered with nancial support from #YouthInAction program. In order to receive travel #reimbursement you must use cheapest available means of transportation (2nd class) and submit us #originals of all your tickets, invoices and boarding passes. Taxi expenses cannot be covered from project budget. Travel #reimbursements will be done during the training course in cash or via bank transfer after the project. #YourRole Before the #TrainingCourse we want you to reect #SocialMedia. How do you use #Media in general? How do you use social media? Think about the positives and negatives of social media. Ask your friends how they use them. Make a small research of the social media environment in you country. Bring couple of examples of #NGOs, #bloggers, #companies, any other interesting #users and #websites.
Training course Social Media - Social You is implemented thanks to nancial support from Youth in Action Program. Youth in Action is the EU Program for young people aged 15-28, in some cases 13-30. It aims to inspire a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Unions future. Youth in Action is a program for all! It promotes mobility within and beyond the EU borders, nonformal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.
During the #TrainingCourse we will be actively working with social media and technologies. Bring your #laptop, #tablet, #smartphone, #camera, #videocamera if you can.
