to offer so much in the way of facilities like the Sports Centre and Library. The course was exactly what I was looking for and the possibilities for growth seemed immense. In my second year I went on a placement at Hewlett Packard which was an amazing experience by far my best year in the UK so far. I gained so much hands-on experience and was treated like a fully-fledged engineer. Work that I was involved in is actually being used on production lines now, which is a great feeling.

Jesal Sampat BEng Mechanical Engineering

I chose to study at Coventry University because of its reputation and excellence in teaching in Mechanical Engineering. I am very glad and so proud of myself because I chose Coventry over four other UK Universities I had offers from. The lecturers are brilliant and answer all your queries very politely. They even help you with other problems which are not related to the course. I personally like the concept of the Add+Vantage Scheme which lets you study a subject apart from your course which you always wanted to know and learn. I am sure this will also increase my employability chances. The best part of Coventry University is that it is in the City Centre and there is always something going on. I sometimes even

feel that the City Centre is inside the University campus! I also find CUOnline and the eLibrary system very useful. I can easily read lecture notes and reference books sitting at home. The staff at the Student Centre and the International Office helped me a lot for my admissions as they offered me a place on Year 2 as they recognised the three year diploma I did in India, which most other Universities in the UK dont accept. I am very grateful to them. I am so happy that I have made plenty of friends from literally all around the globe in less than a month after coming here. I am enjoying it so much that I have already started thinking of doing my post graduation from here.

Cost of Living
The cost of living at Coventry is lower than in many parts of the country. To maintain a comfortable standard of living we estimate that students will need approximately 600 per month, in addition to tuition fees. CU Fact File

Hello, I am Prantik Kumar from Jamshedpur, India. I came into the university through a university representative MRS SUNITA BOSE. I came to know more about the university and its courses when their representative came to our school for a presentation regarding specific details of studying in the United Kingdom. I was brought to notice that Coventry University has a high standard of teaching and is famous for its courses not only in the U.K but also in many other parts of the world. The university provides world class facilities for students and for their support. The university library is one of the largest of its kind in the world with sufficient number of computers and books for the sole use of their students. The university buildings, classrooms, lecture halls and labs are simply amazing. The university also provides good accommodation facilities. They have an international students centre where all international applicants can get in with their queries. Their problems are heard patiently and are dealt tactfully by the efficient support staff in the students centre. My overall experience here has simply been mind blowing and I am looking forward to my future days of study in this magnificent university.
