Application & Admission Process Japanese visa issuance process application
In order to study at a Japanese language school in Japan, the applicant must apply for and receive a visa. The instructions for visa application are as listed below. One of our staff members from school will go to the Japanese immigration office on the student's behalf and begin the process for a certificate of eligible.
Once we are issued your certificate of eligibility, we will immediately send that to you. Once you received your certificate of eligibility, you will need to take it and present it to the nearest Japanese embassy located in your country and begin your visa application. The certificate of eligibility proves the foreigner has received legal status of residence and meets the required conditions under the "Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act". If you possess a
certification of eligibility, it will help with the visa issuance done by the Japanese embassy, as well as smooth the screening process conducted at the airport.
Application & Admission Process Immigration process when arriving in Japan (airport screening) After you arrive in Japan, you will undergo screening held by the immigration. When undergoing the screening procedure, you will need to present your passport and visa, your certificate of eligibility, your ED card (the embarkation card should have been issued to you and take care of while on the plane prior to landing), and then you will have your finger prints recorded and your face photograph taken.
You will be screened for the following things at the airport: (1) The validation of your visa and passport's date of expiration. (2) Whether you are actually here to study Japanese or not. Students issued a certificate of eligibility will experience a much easier and faster screening process. (3) Whether or not your visa's duration conforms to the duration which was decided by the Japanese government. (4) Whether or not you fall under any reason for the denial of landing permission decided by immigration control.
If you meet all of the above conditions, along with receive a landing permit seal in your passport, you will be issued a foreign registration card. Included on both your registration card and landing permit seal is your residence status, as well as your legal duration of stay. Please double check that both residence status and visa duration is accurate. Also, it is now possible to apply for part-time work permission as a student while you are at the airport. Any one who wishes to engage in a part-time job while living in Japan may fill out the application directly at the airport, thus eliminating the necessity to apply at the immigration office. Application & Admission Process Transportation methods from the airport to your living quarters Once you arrive in Japan, you will proceed to your living quarters. Available methods of transportation include traveling by train or traveling by shuttle. Traveling by shuttle will take you to places within close proximity of your home, and is also very convenient for people bearing a lot of heavy luggage. However, bus transportation is more costly than traveling by train, and after arriving, you may be required to travel by train to the train station nearest your home (as shuttle buses do not necessarily stop at every station). Shuttle transportation tickets require a reservation, and you will need to purchase them at the bus transportation counter at the airport. Please note that the airports are both rather far from our school and where you will be living, so please avoid traveling by means of taxi, as it will become extremely expensive.
