Dream Trip
This first week of my dream trip, I traveled to the great country of China . It was be a long trip but worth it! While in China, I stopped at the Great Wall of China, Hong Kong and Shang Hai. The Great Wall was stunning. After surveying the breathtaking landscape from below, I climbed the
After my tour of Hong Kong, I then went to the city of Shang Hai. My first place I visited was the ShangHai Tower. The skyscraper has 128 floors! I was quite an elevator ride. Afterwards, I journeyed to the Yu Garden. This was a spectacular garden riddled with ancient Chinese History. Overall, my stop at China was amazing but this was just the beginning of my amazing ride.
wall. Following the lengthy and wearisome trek, I
arrived at the top. I took in the magnificent sight and then I was off to the next cite, Hong Kong. Hong Kong is an amazing city and I had the pleasure to visit the Kowloon Walled City during my time there. This is an old Chinese Military Fort. Next in Hong Kong, I went to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery. This cite, sadly enough isn't really a monastery and there are no monks .
The next week of my journey I went to the famous boot-shaped country of Italy! In Italy, I traveled to the fantastic countries of Venice, Rome and Florence. My first stop was the city of Venice. Venice is a city completely built on water. As a part of my trip, I took a ride on the gondola along the Grand Canal. This is one of the major canals for water traffic. Then I went to Saint Mark's Basilica . This is the most famous of the city's churches and a great example of architecture by the Byzantines. I then took a train ride to Florence, Italy. Florence is home to many famous attractions. These include the Florence Cathedral, also know as the Duomo, the Uffizi gallery and the PalazzoVecchio. Each of these places was incredibly beautiful.
My final stop in Italy is the capital, Rome! While in Rome, I visited the Roman Colosseum. This is an old amphitheater from earlier days in Rome. Then, I went to the Pantheon, a temple in honor of all the ancient Roman gods. To wrap up my visit, I traveled to St. Peter's Basilica. This was a church that was built in the Renaissance and resides within Vatican City. Italy was a fantastic stop on my trip, but I was only halfway done!
Australia and New Zealand
Greetings from down under!
My next country I went down under to Australia and New Zealand. My first stop is in Australia in the city Sydney. Sydney has many great features. These include the famous Sydney Opera House. Here I watched a beautiful opera. I then got to go up in the Sydney Tower.
Then I moved on to my next site, Dunedin.
I spent the first day lounging at the Tunnel Beach. Then I looked around the Dunedin Railway Station and took a train to go to the Dunedin Botanic Gardens. After a great trip to Australia and New Zealand, I only had one stop left, Brazil.
After some time in the city, I went out to the country. After a long drive, I arrived at Ayers Rock. This is a historically famous rock that was important to the Aboriginal people.
The first place I decided to visit was the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. While in Rio, I was able to be apart of the famous Rio Carnival. This is considered the biggest carnival in the world! There were many bright colors and festivities. Next, I went to Forte Coimbra. Although this is an old military fort, the architecture and design is still absolutely beautiful.
For my final stop in Brazil, I went to Foz de Iguacu. This is a nice little city. While visiting here, I had the pleasure to see their magnificent zoo with a plethora of exotic animals and creatures. Sadly, this month of paradise, my dream trip had come to an end. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget!
