Apple has been one of the world's largest technology companies by revenue. It is the world's third-largest mobile phone maker after Samsung and Nokia. The Logo
Apple's first logo, designed by Ron Wayne, depicts Sir Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree. It was almost immediately replaced by Rob Janoff's "rainbow Apple", the nowfamiliar rainbow-colored silhouette of an apple with a bite taken out of it. Janoff presented Jobs with several different monochromatic themes for the "bitten" logo, and Jobs immediately took a liking to it. While Jobs liked the logo, he insisted it be in color to humanize the company. The logo was designed with a bite so that it would not be confused with a cherry. The colored stripes were conceived to make the logo more accessible, and to represent the fact the Apple II could generate graphics in color. This logo is often erroneously referred to as a tribute to Alan Turing, with the bite mark a

reference to his method of suicide. Both Janoff and Apple deny any homage to Turing in the design of the logo. In 1998, with the roll-out of the new iMac, Apple discontinued the rainbow theme and began to use monochromatic themes, nearly identical in shape to its previous rainbow incarnation, on various products, packaging and advertising. An Aqua-themed version of the monochrome logo was used from 20012003, and a Glass-themed version has been used since 2003. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were Beatles fans, but Apple Inc. had trademark issues with Apple Corps Ltd., a multimedia company started by The Beatles in 1967, involving their name and logo. This resulted in a series of lawsuits and tension between the two companies. These issues ended with settling of their most recent lawsuit in 2007.

Slogans
Apple's first slogan, "Byte into an Apple", was coined in the late 1970s.From 1997 2002, the slogan "Think Different" in advertising campaigns, and is still closely associated with Apple. Apple also has slogans for specific product lines for example, "iThink, therefore iMac" was used in 1998 to promote the iMac, and "Say hello to iPhone" has been used in iPhone advertisements.[191] "Hello" was also used to introduce the original Macintosh, Newton, iMac ("hello (again)"), and iPod.

Apples iPhone 5 Marketing

Since the unveiling of the iPod, Apple has long been unbeatable in the areas of marketing and advertising and provides a perfect example of the how to employ buzz marketing successfully. The brand employs several basic, easily-replicated and cheap that you can use at your company. Obviously you need to put out a great product to create a loyal following, but, simply providing a great product isnt enough to generate a following. Before your product comes out, work with the media and create a buzz. Bloggers and writers are already raving about apple products and what they might do months before the products launch. You dont have to have Apples reputation to do something similar send out press releases, talk to bloggers, etc. prior to launch so your product is expected. Also, give inside scoops to relevant bloggers and what have you so that your product is being discussed. Its also important to look at the way Apple chooses to talk about their products. You wont see Apple going on and on about the screen or the hard drive of their devices most people wont understand, and the ones who do can easily find that information. Instead, Apple chooses to use a more personal, human approach: they talk about their customers lives, and how their lives can be made easier and better with the newest product from Apple. They paint a picture of a world that customers want to be a part of. This is an easy technique to employ advertise your product in a way that is less technical, more personal. After building up anticipation and buzz about their upcoming product that will allegedly revolutionize your life, Apple throws an event to premier said product. Make your product launches a big deal. Apple hosts a huge, meticulously-planned event. They even close their online stores during their product launches, so that everyone knows something is going on and they need to pay attention. And their events arent like other launches with a PR representative coming out to simply read a press release for the media their product launches are like huge conferences, and everyone is talking about.
