Abstract:: Power Theft Detection

If an AMR system via PLC isset in a power delivery system, a detection system for illegal electricity usagemay be easily added in the existing PLC network. In the detection system, the second digitally energy meter chip is used and the value of energy is stored. Therecorded energy is compared with the value at the main kilo Watt-hour meter. Inthe case of the difference between two recorded energy data, an error signal isgenerated and transmitted via PLC network.T h e d e t e c t o r a n d c o n t r o l s y s t e m i s p r o p o s e d .
