I think it is very important for teachers to be involved in the decision making process of the budget. They need to know how much it costs for items that are in their classrooms and what exactly goes in to purchasing these items. Teachers need to know all about how to use the technology in their classrooms because if they do not know how to use it then they cannot effectively teach their students how to use it. Technology plays such an important role in our lives today that without knowing how to use it we are basically lost. This is why its so important to include it in the everyday classroom and to make sure that students completely understand how to effectively use it. There are many ways that technology can be used in the classroom from the teacher presenting ideas on the smart board to students researching data on the computer and then putting together a PowerPoint to present it to their classmates. The options are very broad and its the teachers responsibility to make sure the students are effectively using the technology. Teachers should put themselves out their more in order to be a part of the decisions that go into their classrooms. When this is done teachers gain a better understanding of what it takes to make these decisions and I think it makes them appreciate the items that are in their classroom more. When teachers are not included in the decision making process of putting together classroom budgets they do not fully understand all the hard-work that it takes to buy items for the classroom. When they do not have an understanding of this they may not see how important the items in their classroom are and what it takes to get them there.
