LED Lighting
Light emitting diode is a semiconductor based light source. Like diode, LED consists of a chip of semiconductor material having p-n junctions. With the applied DC Voltage, the unidirectional current flows from p side to n side. Charge carriers electrons meets a hole while flowing into junction falls to a energy level and releases energy in the form of light. The effect is called as electro luminescence. The colour of light is determined by energy levels of the material forming the p-n junction. The LED being small in areas are used with a integrated optical component to direct its light at an desired angle. The Magnetic Ballasts are available for Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) ranging from 9w to 36w & Fluorescent Tubular Lamp (FTL) ranging from 18w to 40w. The Electronic Ballast are available for CFL ranging from 9w to 36w & FTL ranging from 14w to 40w. High Efficiency electronic ballast offers flicker free , low energy consumption thereby low losses & improved circuit efficiency. These ballasts are available THD<30% & <10% with power factor improvement ranging from 0.95 to 0.995 respectively.
