Berwick Primary School Presents: Grade 4: The Magic Mirror
Berwick Primary School Presents: Grade 4: The Magic Mirror
The Magic Mirror. A famous fable from the land of Spain presented to you as a bedtime story to enjoy. In the ancient kingdom of Granada there lives a handsome king, loved by all his subjects. But alas, he cannot find a wife - until the Royal Barber comes up with a solution. Be sure to listen and look out for the adorable loyal sheep, a reference to Beyonc and the lovely ladies and gentlemen of Granada as they search for their Queen. Who will it be? One of the Single Ladies ? With a King so good looking it should be an easy quest. Ole! This item should result in a lot of laughs, especially for the good wives who listen!
Grade 5: Festivals
Hola amigos! Sit down, buckle up and enjoy the ride! It is about to get bumpy, as we take the Thomas Express to experience the many fiestas Spain has to offer. We climb a pole and throw tomatoes at the La Tomatina Festival and get chased by really big bulls, no bull! But in the end we dance the night away, Carnivale style, under the Spanish stars in a festival to end all festivals.
Thank you
Thank you to Danny Thomas who assisted our grades by choreographing and teaching the massed dance items for each year level. To those parents who volunteered their time to assist with costumes, a huge thank you. The production wouldn t be possible without all of this assistance. Finally, to all the children and staff of Berwick Primary School. This production was conceived, written and executed by a school community with a tremendous amount of support, care, vision and energy.
Please Note No flash photography or video cameras on tripods are permitted in the theatre There will be strobe lighting at times throughout the Production
Grade 1: Dancing
The children come out into the playground when the bell rings. They decide to practice the Spanish dances that they have been learning in class. The first group are doing the Mexican Hat Dance which is the national danceof Mexico. In another part of the yard children can be heard singing and dancing along to the beat of the Mexican folk song La Bamba. Following that a third group of children dance to the popular Spanish folk song the Macarena. The children return to their classroom when the bell rings and recess is over.
