WCDMA CSSR Troubleshoot

This document provides troubleshooting steps for various WCDMA issues including: - HS and EUL user failures which can be addressed by correcting discrepancies between RNC and Node B thresholds, upgrading licenses, and upgrading carriers with HS/EUL hardware. - DL code issues which can be addressed by first fixing HS/EUL failures, upgrading to a second carrier, enabling DCH load sharing, and activating load-based GSM handover while increasing the DL code admission percentage. - DL power issues which involve similar steps as DL code issues along with correcting RNC and Node B power settings and increasing the downlink power admission percentage. - DL and UL CE issues addressed by checking transmitter configurations

HS User failures (Facts Counter -> pmNoOfNonHoReqdeniedHS): Correct discrepancies (match RNC thresholds with Node B thresholds) Upgrade license Upgrade all carriers with HS/EUL (needs correct hardware)

EUL User failures (Facts Counter -> pmNoOfNonHoReqdeniedEUL): Correct discrepancies (match RNC threshods with Node B thresholds) Upgrade license Upgrade all carriers with HS/EUL (needs correct hardware)

DL Codes (Facts Counter -> pmNoFailRabEstAtLackDlChnlCode): First correct HS/EUL user failures. These failures will push traffic down to R99, which consumes more DL codes 2nd carrier upgrade DCH load sharing (send through the requests for the LKF and Ill help with the load sharing parameters) Activate load based handover to GSM (if you dont know how, please ask your 3G specialist in the region or alternatively send a mail through to me) and increase dlCodeAdm to 95%

DL Power (Facts Counter -> pmNoFailRabEstAttemptLackDlPwr): Correct discrepancies (match RNC maxtransmissionpower with Node B maxdlpowercapability). RBS 6000 sites might need correct LKF (send request through) Correct HS/EUL user failures. These failures will push traffic down to R99, which consumes more DL Power 2nd carrier upgrade DCH load sharing (send through the requests for the LKF and Ill help with the load sharing parameters) Activate load based handover to GSM (if you dont know how, please ask your 3G specialist in the region or alternatively send a mail through to me) and increase dlpwrAdm to 95%

DL CE (Facts Counter -> pmNoFailRabEstAtptLackdlHw): Check txdevice config (if you dont know how, please ask your 3G specialist in the region or alternatively send a mail through to me). I have attached the macro to assist you with this as well. Request upgrade (LKF and/or Hardware) Adjust dlfractbasebandpool2 parameter for Node Bs with 2 baseband pools (3 cell carriers).

UL CE (Facts Counter -> pmNoFailRabEstAtptLackUlHw): Check if Improved CE ladder LKF is loaded on the site. Use licensce key command on AMOS. (if you dont know how, please ask your 3G specialist in the region or alternatively send a mail through to me) Request upgrade (LKF and/or Hardware) Adjust ulfractbasebandpool2 parameter for Node Bs with 2 baseband pools (3 cell carriers).
