My Mind Body Administration


Developed the concept of internal focus
Early realization that I need to make myself strong from inside - a well functioning leader needs to have better control of his Mind, Body & Emotions Shared the concept of my MBA with my manager in Feb 2012 Set-up my MBA face-book website and register WWW URL ( shared with my friends) Extensive reading being done on Sports Performance Psychology, Body Science and Inner Engineering Next slide summarizes the new habits acquired during the last 6 months

New Habits acquired & key learning


These habits ( on next slide) are some that I wanted to incorporate in my life and will not be suitable for everybody. The habits make me live a more conscious life as there are certain boundaries and rules within which I operate. One of my realization is that having boundaries ( rules) make life easier than difficult. I always assumed a flexible life and a life without set rules was easier but I was mistaken. I continue to learn.

Changing myself a habit at a time


Habits Acquired Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr
Started deep dive on my MBA concept plan No Rice ( after 20 years eating rice daily) Developed the resolve to live the second half of life very differently Thinking only positive thoughts Started meditating Ran my first 10km Started writing with pencil

Why?
Manager in office encouraged all of us to think like CXOs Decided to change radically will have to stop doing something that I need to decide daily Took 35th birthday as an opportunity to reflect Encouraged by manager to build the habit of positive thoughts Mind focus as part of MBA Exercising also got a personal instructor for 8 sessions Reminds myself daily that both good and bad things in life are temporary and I can change myself anytime Writing with pencil also requires more conscious focus & need to sharpen regularly

Footwear at home No newspaper first thing in the morning No coffee


Getting up before 7am ( weekdays) Change in office bag and never keeping it on floor ( not even carpet)

Decision to wear slippers at home, wifes ask for some time; Control the information that goes in my mind like my diet No coffee, I dont need external stimulants ( do have tea)
Fixed time of waking up during the weekdays Conscious of where I keep my office bag, it is an extension of me

Key BODY Changes 1. Lost 4 inches & 7kgs ( new clothes!!)
