From La Rioja, a region steeped in wine tradition par excellence, we present a new product with its own style, a product created from a thousand-yearold tradition; that of the production of wines and spirits. The barrel, being an essential element in the production process of great wines and spirits, unites a wide range of properties in its interior which are ideal for the grilling of vegetables, meat and fish. Using a wine making recipe, after treatment developed and carried out by our company, tired and tested by the La Rioja Grape and Wine Research Institute, the outcome is this product for barbecue grilling with an excellent result for our product. The wine is aged in barrels made of toasted oak. During the ageing process, the wine is elaborated inside the wood, giving it its characteristic colour and taste. This taste and aroma remains inside the barrels after these have been emptied. Some of these barrels are made into wood Chips. You will not only get the strong aroma of oak wood smoke, but also the aroma, properties and essence of the wine. We are proud of the quality of our excellent products. Wooden staves from the oak barrel used to create great wines and spirits used as firewood brings a variety of delicious flavours to the food cooked over the embers. Each type of stave gives meat and other food a different flavour, giving way to an infinite variety of combinations of new flavours The flavour is incredible when cooking and it really brings the perfect amount of wine and oak flavour to the food. You can taste the difference between the flavours of the different grapes used to make the wines. (tempranillo, merlot, cabernet, sauvignon, etc.) Generally the wood impregnated with the liquid gives food the aromas originating from the vineyard: the fruity flavour of the grape and spices; the mineral elements give the food complexity; the balsamic qualities bring freshness, while the oak provides an underlying sweet, smoky flavour. Using wood impregnated with wine intensifies the flavour of the dishes. The barbecue is totally natural since there are no conservatives of any kind used, nor salt added. This type of wood is ideal for the preparation of red meat, beef, lamb, and vegetables, etc.

OAK STAVES

TECHNICAL FEATURES:
Product: Wooden staves made from French, American and European oak used in the production of wines and spirits. Composition: Oak wood impregnated with red wine. Average thickness of the stave: 25 -27 mm. Cut to 30 cm x corresponding stave thickness. Presentation: Wood held together with tape. Weight: 5 kg pack, 3 kg pack.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR US

Oak wood from red wine barrels which give an extraordinary flavour add directly on top of the firewood and the charcoal.(To give the food more intense flavour only use the staves, without any other type of firewood or charcoal). To smoke, take the staves, light them and leave them to burn to create embers.

No herbicides or chemical products.

RECOMMENDATIONS
If you want to surprise one or more guests, intensifying the flavour, aromas, properties and essences even more, we recommend the use of OAK CHIPS BBQ following the procedure included with the packaging. THIS PROCEDURE IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR GAS BARBECUES

OAK CHIPS BBQ

TECHNICAL FEATURES

OAK CHIPS BBQ are small wood chips designed principally to give life to your barbecue and allow you to experience fantastic flavours in your grilled food. OAK CHIPS BBQ infuse and intensify the flavours and aromas of the wine ageing process creating surprising results for the palate.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE


Choose the necessary amount of Chips to use. (We recommend 250 gr per group of 4 people) Leave the chips to soak for 15-20 minutes. Drain the water (you can also use wine) still present on the chips. When the charcoal or wood is properly lit and at the right temperature, place the soaked chips in their aluminium tray on top of the charcoal. If you are using a gas barbecue place the tray over the heat. If your barbecue uses a wood fire you can tip the OAK CHIPS directly on top of this wood, removing them from the tray, this action is recommended during the last few minutes of cooking of the meat. If your barbecue has a lid we recommend closing this so that the meat is well smoked with the aroma of the wine-soaked wood.

We recommend the use of OAK STAVES as fire-starting firewood to achieve an intensified flavour for your barbecues.

OAK GRIT BBQ

Drain the water (you can also use wine) still present on the OAK GRIT. When the charcoal or wood (1) is properly lit and at the right temperature, place the soaked chips in their aluminium tray on top of the charcoal. If you are using a gas barbecue place the tray over the heat. If your barbecue uses a wood fire you can tip the OAK GRIT directly on top of this wood, removing them from the tray, this action is recommended during the last few minutes of cooking of the meat. If your barbecue has a lid we recommend closing this so that the meat is well smoked with the aroma of the wine-soaked wood.

WINE BBQ

Choose the number of WINE BBQ you need. (We recommend 400 grams per 4 people). Soak the WINE BBQ for 5-10 minutes. Drain the water (you can also use wine) remaining on the chips. When the charcoal or wood is properly lit and at the right temperature, place the soaked WINE BBQ on top of the charcoal. If you are using a gas barbecue, place the tray over the heat. If you are using a wood-fired barbecue, put the WINE BBQ directly on the embers, taking them out of the bags; you should do this when the meat is almost done. If your barbecue has a lid, we recommend closing it so that the meat is well smoked with the aroma of the wine-soaked wood.
