Taiwan & School of Biblical Studies

Taiwan. It seems as though I have been looking forward to this for so long but in reality is has only been 7 months. It is hard to believe I am here although it has been almost 2 weeks. I thought that I had a busy life in Orlando but my schedule is even more packed than it was at home. It has been so great; I have already learned so much and I have only just begun. I just finished my first book YAY (only 65 more to go :D). We read through Galatians and I realized I spent more than 24 hours studying this letter. Who thought that was possible? Not me! It shocked me how much I absolutely loved it. During my studying I read Galatians for the first time with the understanding that Paul wrote it TO someone:: the church of Galatia. This totally changed my perspective on how to interpret what was written. After observing it through the original readers eyes we look for timeless truths, truths that are the same today as they were back then, after which we take them and apply the timeless truth to our lives today. Brief breakdown of Galatians:: After Paul left the Galatians, false teachers came in and taught another gospel. They preached that the Law + Christ = Salvation. Where as we know that Salvation only comes through faith in Jesus. The key scripture of this book is:: Galatians
5.1 For freedom Christ has set us free, stand firm therefore and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Paul wants the original reader to know

It is so crazy how fast time flys. It feels like just yesterday I was leaving for the DR but I am now in Taiwan!! Looking back on my time in the DR I see so much of why the Lord took me there. I learned more about leadership on this trip than I thought possible. Not that I thought I knew everything, I dont, but I was confronted in totally different areas than I ever had been before. This was probably the most difficult trip that I have taken as far as team dynamics. It almost seemed as though everything was against us as a team. We were small in number, mainly introverted, shy and quiet as a team, struggling against passivity. (Polar opposite of me!!) The Latin culture is warm, welcoming, and hospitable thankfully this quickly helped us as a team adjust to life there. Soon after we began to see God do mighty things. One exciting story I will share is when we were doing ministry in a hospital:: We were praying for people and met a girl who had been in the hospital since Monday it was Friday and she had yet to see the doctor. She had x-rays taken and allowed us to see them. We saw a fracture in her bone and she was in so much pain she couldnt even move her head. We began to pray...little by little the more we prayed the more release of pain she was feeling. After some time she was able to get out of bed!! The doctor came in and looked at her and told her that there was nothing wrong and that she could go home. We looked again at the x-ray and saw a change on there as well. God totally healed her, answered our prayers and was a testimony to her family!!

that Christ set us free from the law. He wanted to remind them to walk and be confident in that freedom.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS & SUPPORT!!

Worshipping for Haiti

We had the privilege to go to the Haitian border after the earthquake and spend time praying, interceding and worshipping on behalf of the people there. It was a very rich time.

Mobile Team
7 states, 5 churches, 2 trips to NYC, a small group, elementary school, high school play GREASE and lots of good Amish cooking would probably sum up our 10 days of sharing exciting stories of what the Lord did in India and the Dominican Republic
