DEAR USER
The key system TI 730i was developped for our complete line of PABX such as Modulare i, Conecta, Corp 6000, 8000 and 16000. Athough these PABXs offer various features, the TI 730i will automatically configure itself when connected. Please make sure to explore this manual in full to avoid problems in installing and operating this key system. Your opinion is valuable to us and therefore we appreciate your comments and observations to assist us in improving the quality of the information contained herein .

SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
Avoid placing the key system next to equipment that generate heat, or /and interference ; Avoid exposing the key system to direct sunlight or humidity; Use only dry clothes to clean your key system.

Tips on how to install the key system


Upon connecting the Ti 730 to any PABX extension, the key system will automatically configure itself ; If you disconnect the Ti 730 from an extension, you should cancel the position of the key system as mentioned in this manual.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR TI


LCD
The message Fig.1 will always appear when the key system is in standby mode:

The upper line indicates : day, month, year and week day : Sun - Sunday Wed - Wednesday Mon - Monday Thu Thursday Fri - Friday Sat - Saturday Tues - Tuesday

The lower line indicates : Time, mode of operation, and type of alarm : log call logging : indicates problems with printer or call logging. Cal calender alarm : indicates calender reset. Mem indicates call buffer. Blk alarm access denied : buffer full and external access through operator. Ngt nightmode alarm : PABX in nightmode.

Important !
In case of various alarms being programmed, they will appear in a one second sequence.

Programmable Keys
The upper pannel of the TI 730i comes with a laber that will allow you to configure the keys and annotate the function of each feature.

Navigation keys
The below keys will allow you to navigate through the LCD menu to program the various functions of the TI 730i. During standby these keys can be used to adjust the volume of the Mic or the brightness of the LCD: move cursor right . move cursor left. move cursor up or to previous screen. move cursor down or to next screen . Enter in programming mode. ( ENTER ) Return to previous screen, exit funtion or menu programming. (EXIT)

Predetermined functions keys


The below keys have predetermined functions :

SPEAKER access speaker function, use headset.. FLASH MUTE stop voice transmission. MAIL access voice mail. DIVERT access call divert menu . DIRECTORY access phone directory . INC. CALLS indicates unanswered, unswered and outgoing calls. DELETE delete cursor field. HOLD hold external call . BRK CALL/DND function broker call and DND configuration. Keys for entering and editing text; Speed dial; dial (telephone). configuration of some services offered by telecom carriers. configuration of some services offered by telecom carriers as well as memory of LND and RECALL .

STARTING THE TI 730i


When the key system is connected, the following is displayed : TI 730i Intelbras Version X.Y. The upper pannel LEDs will flash sequencially to indicate proper communication between the TI 730i and the PABX. Finally the LCD displays : KTS _ _ PABX Intelbras.

Error Message
Error KTS : KTS problem. Communication error : Problem with communication. KTS capacity exceeded : Maximum TI 730i capacity reached Possible reasons : PABX and Ti 730 powered on at the same time. Check connection. Versions PABX and TI 730i incompatible. Interference from equipment or connection problem between TI 730i and PABX.

Speed Dial
First, you must associate the keys 0 and 9 with phone directory numbers. Check the item Configuring Speed Dial for a phone directory number. With the handset off-hook, Speaker ON, or TI 730i in standby, hold down the desired key (0 to 9) for 2 seconds to display the name or number on the LCD.

Ringer level
2 levels : High or Low. Factory settings : High. Press use me , press Use / , navigate with / / to Configurations, press .

Lock keypad

During an incoming call, the keypad is unlocked. Once the call is desconnected the keypad lock is reactivated. Note : TI 730i must be in standby.

Audio prompts
One Beep : PABX sends a message. One beep each second : Handset left off-hook for more than 2 minutes. On the display appears : Put handset on-hook. Factory settings : High Two beeps + 1 second pause : Reminder ON Factory settings : High. Three beeps : Alarm ON. Factory settings : High. Important : When the TI 730i is in configuration mode, phone directory or call inquiry and Reminder is OFF, the beeps will be emitted when the TI 730i returns to standby. No beeps will be emitted if the TI 730i is in babyphone mode. Only the key system programmed as attendant will receive Alarm beeps.

You can associate a predetermined function with all 25 keys available at the upper pannel. To exit the MENU, press various times or hold it down for 2sec.

Answering calls
Press . to hang up, press again. If the PABX is without a caller ID board, the following message appears: Answer call via :_ _.

Unanswered calls
The LED will flash.

Making an Intercom
Press the Extension number or the key programmed as Extension. An intercom ring is idenified by two medium rings. Situation with Extensions programmed as direct access key: Led ON: extension busy, Led FLASHING: extension receiving a call ; Led OFF: extension free. If the extension you are calling is a key system, you can use a message to request a call back by pressing 7; Program recall, press .

Calling a group
Press the key programmed as Group.

Calling group Boss-Secretary


See Configurating pannel keys : pressing programmed keys you can automatically dial the extensions; pressing programmed keys as Interphone boss-secretary, you can access the extension. The handsfree function of the called party will automatically be activated. 17

Types of Group : one boss and one secretary, one boss and two secretaries; two bosses and one secretary; two bosses and two secretaries. Check your PABX manual for more details.

Making external calls


Press or (please check the PABX manual) or the key programmed as Line or Route , wait for dial tone and dial the number. Led ON: line busy;

Led flashing fast : line receiving or with parked call; Led flashing slowly : call on hold; Led OFF: line is free.
If you have a blocked line or extension without access category, you receive the following message : Access denied to this service. followed by a beep. If accessing a busy tone, press . Your extension rings once the

line is free. Check your PABX manual for more details.

Making external calls through special routes


Press the key programmed as Route, wait for dial tone and dial the number. Check Configurating the pannel keys. And your PABX manual on how to program special routes.

Making external calls using the telephone directory


Press Menu : Press / and press , use / to display tel.directory , press . using . to access the phone directory. You can also use the

Press . (max = 20 digits).

Held calls
Check your PABX manual on how to program the time for held calls . During a call press ( the led starts flashiong ). Audio beeps are heard if the held time is over. Put the monophone on-hook ou desactivate Hands-free to terminate the call and attend the held call. If the ongoing call is over and the held call time has not exprired, you can capture the call : press 569, again on your key system. or wait until the call rings

Transferring calls
Ring type: Short + long. If you make an inquiry and want to transfer the call, disconnect or desactivate the SPEAKER key. After performing the function, you must put the phone ON-HOOK.

To an extension
Press + Extension number or the key programmed as

Extension. If the extension is busy, the calls returns to your extension after 60 Sec. Check your PABX manual for more details. 19

To a group

To Voice Mail
Requires VOICE MAIL accessory. Press

Inquiries
During a call inquiry the second call will be put on-hold. To return to the previous call, press + .

Activating external activation during a call

Pager announcement during a call


(Require pager board Corp 16000). Press key programmed as Pager.

Recall
This function is useful when trying to access a busy line or an extension that is busy or unavailable. Once the line or extension is available you receive a call ( long + short ring ). Check the PABX manual on how to program the recall time.

To External number
Press + and wait for confirmation.

To a busy/unavailable extension
Over the busy tone, press .

Capture
Note : you cannot capture Alarm calls or recalls.

Capturing a specific extension


Press key programmed as Extension. to capture a call or captuting a held call of a specific extension.

Conference
Type of conferences : Between 2 extensions One extension and one external number Two external numbers. ( beeps will be heard every 30 seconds ) Note : Operator cannot enter in conference with call in the queue.

Announcing a message on the paging system


(Require pager borad for Corp 16000) Press Pager; now your Ti 730 is connected to the pager system. Check your PABX manual for more details

Communicating with the doorphone


Calling the doorphone

Opening the doorlock during a call with the doorphone


Only in following conditions : Access category; Doorphone Attendant; Attend doorphone as broker call; Capture doorphone call; Receive a call transfer from doorphone.

Answering the doorphone during an external call


The call is identified by the Led of the key programmed as Doorphone and 4 audible beeps. Press key programmed as Doorphone.

External activation
This feature allows you to activate external devices such as light, bell, etc.. The extension will receive a busy tone when this feature is activated. Check your PABX manual for more details Modulare i/Conecta Press key programmed as Command 1. CORP family Externa activation 1: press key programmed as Command 1. Externa activation 2: press key programmed as Command 2. Check the item External activation time. In you PABX manual.

Accessing your voice messages


Press and wait for messages.

Registering calls

Long distance calls : Complete : local calls : register prefix 0 + carrier + area code + phone number International : register prefix 00 + carrier + country code + number) or partial (country code + area code + number). In the first case, the number is dialed automatically. In the second case, you will be required to enter the carrier code. To exit press . Editing/Entering names

This digit will appear to the left of the stored name. To desactivate speed dial follow the same above steps, press the speed dial digit for 2 seconds to delete it.

Room Monitoring ( Baby Phone )


Check your PABX manual on how to program this feature. Press the Extension N that was programmed as baby phone or press the key programmed as Room monitoring. Note : This feature is not available for the operator and nightmode attendant;

Call back
You can send a message to an extension requesting a call. Press + , to display : call Urgently Extension : _ _ _ _.

Using a headset

This functionn is not available for the extension programmer. During DND mode, the TI 730i maintains the alarm and recall functions. The extension with DND programmed, receives a differenciated dial tone (continuous + beeps at each second ).

Hotline
Hotline without delay : Direct access to line after lifting the handset. Hotline with delay : The TI 730i waits 7 seconds, giving you the option of dialing another number. Press , use / to select Extension configuration and .Use / to

Only main extension can cancel hotline without delay. You can program external hotline (with or without delay) through route 0 or special routes. Check the item External call category through special route in your PABX manual.

Alarm

Blocking direct incoming calls ( DIC )


Incoming external call to your extension can be routed through DISA or operator. Press press use . Use or / to display Extension configuration, select Block DIC, press .

USING DND/BROKER CALL


This key has double functions : Standby : Uses the DND menu options. OFF-HOOK : As broker call. DND : block direct incoming calls. BRK. Call : Attend two incoming calls at the same time. Press to attend a second call and maintain the first call on

hold. Press the key again to switch between calls; to disconnect a call put the phone ON-HOOK and wait for the second call to ring. Extension inquiry with broker call. During an external call you can make an intercom inquiry by pressing to switch between calls.

Equipment sold by Intelbras are covered by a one year warranty against any Material flaws or manufacturing defects. 1.2. The warranty shall not cover: a) damage of any kind whatsoever the cause of which does not predate the sale; b) damage, faults and defects attributable to the customer, accidental damage, improper usage or poor maintenance, failure to comply with the instructions given in the user manual, lightning, humidity, power surges or any force majeure whatsoever; c) the repair or replacement of loose parts (cords, wires, outlets, antennas, etc.), the replacement of accessory elements that require regular replacement (batteries, paper, ink, etc.) and the supply of cleaning products. d) call-out charges and hourly rates. 1.3.The warranty shall not apply if: a) the Customer cannot prove the purchase via a bill, receipt or ad hoc certificate provided by the reseller; b) The Customer, or a person not designated by Intelbras, changes or repairs the PABX ; it has been paid for in full. Until this is the case, the Customer shall not transfer, alter, give as security or a guarantee, or lend the product in any way whatsoever to a third party, nor shall the latter have any right of ownership thereto. In the event of seizure of or any other claim by a third party with respect to the product, the Customer shall inform Intelbras immediately to enable the latter to safeguard its rights. 1.4. The risks shall transfer to the Customer when the product is delivered. Thereafter, Customer shall be liable for all risk of loss, theft and destruction, in full or in part, of the product.
