Overview Integrated line testing is essential for copper networks (DSL, ADSL2+ and VDSL2) as they greatly exceed most cable broadband offerings and can therefore be used to capture and retain subscribers during the fiber upgrade process. As such, the performance level required from DSL lines rises dramatically. Today, DSL lines are pushed closer to their bit rate limit, while real-time services, such as video and voice, demand higher quality and greater stability. Loops of inferior quality will result in unstable DSL connections causing severe service degradation.
