Europeana is the European gateway for digital cultural heritage.

Through our portal, widgets and apps people can find millions of digitized images, texts, maps, paintings, sounds and audiovisual materials from Europes Museums, Libraries and Archives. Europeana is involved directly with more than 500 partners from the GLAM sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) and creative industries in Europe. We are looking for an imaginative and detailed Projects Co-ordinator to help us manage the key projects in our portfolio. The job would suit someone with experience in running cultural heritage projects, preferably on EU/European Commission level, and a fascination for the contribution of culture to new creative enterprise. What will be the core responsibilities of this job? The selected candidate will co-ordinate at least two big projects for Europeana: http://pro.europeana.eu/web/europeana-awareness http://pro.europeana.eu/web/europeana-v2.0.

You will be the primary coordinator of work taking place in 30 countries, and the conduit for information flowing between Europeana and the European Commission. You will be responsible for: Timely delivery of all projects deliverables, including internal and external reports and financial statements All communication with project partners and the European Commission Tracking and communicating progress on the project based on the project Description of Work Raising delays and other issues and finding appropriate solutions Keeping a risk and quality register

Within the scope of these projects, you will be free to find the right solutions to keep everything in balance. As part of our Programme Management Team you will be responsible for managing the quality of knowledge exchange within the Europeana partner network about the projects you are responsible for. You will encourage partners to network and share best practices, and mobilise them to join the network of Europeana. What set of skills and knowledge should you bring? Experienced with defining and running projects in the cultural heritage sector; Preferably experience with EU/European Commission level projects; A basic understanding of PRINCE2 and preferably Scrum/Agile project methodologies; Great at communicating with people across cultures and disciplines; Calm, smooth and tactful under pressure; Able to run excellent workshops and events; Excellent abilities in building and nurturing partner relationships University Degree or equivalent Flexible and adaptable to a fast changing working environment A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience is desirable Ability to travel easily within the EU

An EU work permit if born outside of the European Union

What are the benefits? The Europeana office is based in the Netherlands, at the heart of The Hague. You will get to work with 50 people on a wide variety of European projects contributing to Europeanas aim to engage people in Europe with their cultural heritage. Our ambition is to provide new forms of access to culture, to inspire creativity and stimulate social and economic growth. We will offer you mentorship and support in an inspiring working environment and you will get to travel regularly and meet our partners. You will have a good basic salary, which is in line with the Collective Labour agreement for Research Centres, scale 9 or 10, ( 2.500 - 3.800,- gross per month, holiday allowance and annual bonus not included) depending on your experience and skills. Furthermore you will have 42 days holiday per year, a Holiday allowance (8%), an Annual bonus (around 8%) and good fringe benefits. What is the Recruitment procedure?
