, UNIT-II PROJECTION OF POINTS & LINES


1. A Line PF, 65mm long has its end P, 15mm above HP & 15mm IF of VP. It is inclined at 55 to HP and 35 to VP. Draw its projections. 2. A line PQ 75mm long is inclined at an angle 45 to HP and 30 to VP. The point P is 15mm above HP & 20mm IF of VP. Draw its projections. 3. One end P of line PQ 80mm long is 10mm above HP and 15mm IF of VP. The line is inclined at 40 to HP and the top-view makes 50 with the VP. Draw its projections and find its true inclination with the VP. 4. A line AB 85mm long has its end A, 10mm above HP and 20mm IF of VP. The end B is 60mm above and 50mm IF of VP. Draw its projections and true inclinations with VP and HP. Also locate the traces. 5. A line AB measuring 75mm long has one of its ends 15mm above HP and 50mm IF of VP. The top-view of the line is 50mm long the other end 15mm IF of VP and is above HP. Draw its projections and find its true inclinations with VP and HP. 6. The length of the top-view of a line is 40mm and length of the front-view is 50mm. The topview is inclined at 30 to XY. Draw its projections assuming that its one end is situated on HP and 25mm IF of VP. Determine the true length of the line with VP & HP. Also, locate the traces. 7. The top-view of the line PQ makes an angle of 30 with the horizontal and has a length of 100mm the end Q is in the HP and P is in the VP & 65mm above the HP. Draw the projection of the line and find its true length and true inclination with the reference planes. 8. A straight line AB has its end A 20mm above HP & 25mm IF of VP. The other end B is 60mm above HP & 65mm IF of VP. The ends of the line are on the same projector and distance between the projections is 60mm. Find the true length and true inclination of the line with HP. Also, mark the traces. 9. A line LM 70mm long has its end L is 10mm above HP & 15mm IF of VP its top & front view measures 60mm & 40mm respectively. Draw the projection of the line find its inclinations with VP & HP. 10. The plan of a line 80mm long and makes 35 with XY its elevation makes 45 with XY and the line intersect at XY. Find its true length and inclination to HP & VP. 11. The end P is in hp and 40mm Infront of vp. The end q is in vp the front view of the line makes an angle of 40 with the horizontal and has a length of 85mm. draw the projection and find its true inclination. 12. A line AB 60mm long has its end B is 20mm above HP & 25mm IF of VP. The end A is 50mm away from both reference planes. Draw the projection of the line find its inclinations with VP & HP. 13. The end A of a line AB is 35mm above HP and 30mm IF of VP. The line is inclined at 35to HP. Its top view is 75mm long inclined at 45 to XY. Draw the projection of the line find its inclinations and true length with VP & HP.

14. The front view of a line AB 90 mm long is inclined at 45 to XY line. The front view measures 65mm long. Point A is located 15mm above HP and is in VP. Draw the projection of the line find its inclinations with VP & HP. 15. End A of a line AB is 10mm above HP and 20mm IF of VP. The other end is 45mm above HP and 65 mm Infront VP. The distance between the end Projectors is 40mm .Draw the Projection and find true inclinations and true length. 16. Draw the projection of the following points on a common reference line. a) Point A on HP and 35 mm behind VP b) Point E , 25mm away from the reference planes and is in IV quadrant c) Point F, 20mm above HP and the same distance behind VP d) Point G, 20mm above HP and 30mm behind VP e) Point H, 25mm BHP and 25mm IVP f) Point I, 20mm below HP and on VP. g) Point M,40mm below the HP & in the VP h) Point N, Both in HP & VP. 17. A straight line ST has its end 10mm in front of the VP and nearer to it. The midpoint M of the line is 50mm Infront of VP and 40mm above HP. The front and top views measure 90mm and 120mm respectively. Draw the projections of the line. Also find its true length and true inclinations with the HP & the VP. 18. A line CD inclined at 25 to the HP measures 80mm in the top view. The end C is in the First quadrant and 25 mm & 15mm from the HP and VP Respectively. The end D is at equal distances from both the reference planes. Draw the projections. Also find true length and true inclination with the VP. 19. The projections of a line measure 80mm in the top view and 70mm in the front view. The mid-point of the line is 45mm in front of VP and 35mm above HP. One end is 10mm in front and nearer to it . The other end is nearer to HP. Draw the Projections of the line. Find the True length and true inclinations. 20. A line PQ has its end P 10mm above the HP and 20mm Infront of the VP. The end Q is 35mm Infront of the VP. The FV of the line measures 75mm the distance between the end projectors is 50mm. Draw the Projections of the line. Find the True length and true inclinations. 21. The end P of a line PQ is 30mm above the HP & 35mm IF of VP. The line is inclined at 35 to HP. Its top view is 70mm long and inclined at 40 to XY. Draw the projections of the straight line locate the traces find the true length and inclination of the line with the VP. *****************
