Shenmen*: *Shenmen is the Key Point for Tranquilizing the Mind It is also used as the baseline GSR reading against which to compare other points. Commonly used for diseases of the Nervous System, Cardiovascular System, Respiratory system (and skin), and Digestive System (Vertigo, Hypertension, Diarrhea, Cough, Asthma, Itching, Leukorrhagia) Tranquilize the Mind; Alleviate Pain; Anti-Inflammatory. Occiput*: *The Key Point for Relieving Vertigo & Dizziness (whether auditory vertigo or from hypertension, cerebral vascular insufficiency, neural imbalance, or car/sea sickness). Occiput also corresponds to the Optic Center. Tranquilize the Mind: Like Shenmen, it can be used for Nervous System (pain; insomnia, occipital headache, blurred vision, convulsions, epilepsy and facial spasms), Cardiovascular System (hypertension), Respiratory system and skin (cough, asthma, itching), and Digestive System (vomiting & diarrhea) Forehead*: *The key point for Tonifying the brain: Tonify Brain, Relieve Dizziness, Improve Visual Acuity; Alleviate Pain (Frontal Headache) Dizziness, Numbness, Heavy Headedness, Lethargy, Depression, ADHD, Poor Memory, Hypertension. Temple: Temple corresponds to the Auditory Center: For both Visual & Auditory Acuity, and Tinnitus Tranquilize the Mind: Migraine, Bilateral Temporal Headache, Bilateral Headache around Taiyang Extra 1 Subcortex: Dysregulation of the Cerebral Cortex: Autonomic Dysregulation; Neurasthenia, Neurosis, Schizophrenia Digestive, Hepatobiliary, & Cardiovascular Disorders: Maldigestion, G.I. ulcers, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal Distension, Diarrhea, Constipation, ++ Hypertension, Arteritis, Thromboangiitis Obliterans (Burgers Disease), Phlebitis, Raynauds Disease, CHD, Arrhythmia. Sympathetic* *Key point for relieving visceral pain and spasm. However, do NOT use this point for abdominal distension (as further visceral relaxation will be counterproductive) * Also the Key point for Hyperhydrochlorhydria Autonomic Nervous Dysregulation, Smooth Muscle Spasms, Excessive Secretions: Gastrospasm, Enterospasm, Urinary & Biliary Calculi, Gastritis Gastric & Duodenal Ulcer, Asthma. Hyperhydrochlorhydria, Pediatric Ptyalorrhea; Hyperhydrosis; Seborrheic Dermatitis. Vasodilatation: Thromboangiitis Obliterans; Phlebitis, Arteritis, Raynauds Disease. External Sympathetic: Vertigo, Dizziness, Headache, Frontal Headache, Vertex Headache, Migraine, Eye Diseases Brain Stem: Calm internal Wind (Convulsions), Tonify the Brain, Pacify Over-Excitement; Relieve a Cough & Quench a Fever: For: Meningeal Irritation; Epilepsy; Schizophrenia; Neurosis; Bronchitis and low-grade Fever.
